U-Haul Offers 30 Days Free Self-Storage, U-Box as Northeast Iowa Prepares for Flooding
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Sept. 23, 2016) — U-Haul Company of Iowa is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents of Cedar Rapids, Cedar Falls, Waterloo, and surrounding areas who have or will be impacted by flooding.
Northeast Iowa has taken on considerable water from ongoing storms and some communities have been evacuated, creating the need for safe, secure and dry self-storage options where people can keep their possessions.
“We have had massive storms the last couple of days and there is more rain in the forecast,” U-Haul Company of Iowa president Randy Dickson said. “We are well above the flood stage already. People are already evacuating their homes.
“U-Haul is here to serve local communities, so we are privileged to help these families during times of disaster and severe weather by providing secure self-storage at no charge for 30 days to those affected.”
