SHREVEPORT, La. (March 17, 2016) — U-Haul Company of Northern Louisiana has expanded its offer of 30 days free self-storage and U-Box container usage to include residents of Alexandria, Lafayette, Lake Charles and surrounding communities who have been affected by flood waters and neighborhood evacuations.
“The Red River is supposed to crest at an all-time high, and they’re evacuating homes in some of the Alexandria and Pineville neighborhoods,” said Warren Iles, U-Haul Company of Northern Louisiana president. “There is flooding in and around a number of surrounding cities. We want to continue to help out as much as we can by offering free storage to those needing assistance.”
Six more U-Haul locations are participating in the 30 days free self-storage and U-Box, adding to the eight storage facilities in Louisiana already assisting flood victims in and around Shreveport and Bossier City as well as Baton Rouge, Hammond and Slidell.
