ALEXANDRIA, La. (April 3, 2017) — U-Haul Company of Northern Louisiana is offering 30 days of free self-storage and U-Box container usage to residents who were affected by the severe storms and tornadoes that caused damage throughout Central Louisiana on Sunday.

Extensive damage was done to homes and businesses across Alexandria.

“Crews are working to clean up downed trees and powerlines,” U-Haul Moving & Storage at MacArthur Drive general manager Dwight Farr said. “We are already seeing heavy flooding in some of our neighborhoods. It’s pretty bad.”

Thousands of residents are without power.
