U-Haul Provides 30 Days of Free Self-Storage to Western Montana Wildfire Victims

HELENA, Mont. (Sept. 7, 2017) — U-Haul Company of Montana is offering 30 days of free self-storage to residents in western Montana who have been or will be impacted by the recent outbreak of wildfires.

“There is smoke weighing down the air and people have been advised to stay indoors,” U-Haul Company of Montana president Terry Schaub said. “Other residents have been displaced. We want to do our part and make sure these families have a safe place to store their belongings.”

The Rice Ridge Fire has burned more than 118,500 acres. According to the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, more than 1 million acres have been burned in 2017.
