As if moving isn’t stressful enough, I frequently hear from my friends, family and acquaintances that the thought of driving a moving truck (of any size) is quite possibly the most stressful part about it. Well, if you’re planning a move in the future and this thought has crossed your mind or even scared you too…it’s important to know that you have other options for making your move without using a moving truck. Check out some of these other moving options below.
Trailers
Trailers are popular moving choices for people of all ages, and are great resources for moving all sorts of different items. Whether towing a cargo trailer, utility trailer or car trailer, each option has great benefits. Not only can trailers help make moving easier, their special features also can increase gas mileage, thereby allowing you to save money on fuel. U-Box Containers
U-Box containers make moving and storage more convenient with less worry through various delivery and pickup solutions which allow you all the time you need to load and unload your U-Box containers. With U-Box, you can conveniently pick up a U-Haul custom-designed trailer and take your U-Box container with you. U-Haul can also store the U-Box container in a secure warehouse or even pick up and deliver it to a location of your choice. So, whether you are moving across town or to the other side of the world, storing, renovating, going to or leaving school…U-Box containers allow you to tailor your move to perfection. Roof Racks and Cargo Carriers
Two additional options for moving items without using a moving truck are roof racks and cargo carriers. I moved last summer, and even though it was only across town, I really wish I would have planned better and gotten myself one of these two. I had a ton of random, last-minute, unpacked items strewn all over my car which made for a really, really uncomfortable drive. As they say, hindsight is 20/20, but if I had had a roof rack or cargo carrier, I could have utilized my vehicle-storage capacity much better, and been way more organized. My dogs and I would have had a lot more room as we drove across town.
