Bacon and Blue Burger IngredientsIngredients:

For this burger recipe, you will need the following.

  • 1 lb ground beef (not lean as it does not make the best patties)
  • 1 pkg blue cheese crumbles
  • Hamburger seasoning (Chicago steak seasoning works well)
  • 6 strips of bacon
  • 3 hamburger buns

How to Make Bacon & Blue Cheese Burgers:

Step 1: Put the bacon on the stove to cook.  Cook to desired crispness.

Step 2: While the bacon is cooking, season and mix the ground beef well.  Form the ground beef into six patties.

Preparing for the burger recipeStep 3: Add about 1 tbsp of Blue Cheese to three of the patties.  Place the patties without cheese on top of the patties with the cheese.

Step 4: Pinch the edges of the patties to seal the cheese inside.  Square the edges of the patties, making them smooth. (Indent the top of the patties with your thumb so the patties cook out evenly)

Step 5: Preheat the grill.  Once the grill is warm, add the burgers.  Cook the burger for one minute on each side to sear in the juices.

Step 6: Cook an additional 5-7 minutes on each side. Place each patty on the bun, add bacon and enjoy!
