The process of moving can be frustrating, but knowing the right way of putting a box together can make the experience less stressful. You may not even know that you’ve spent your entire life not knowing how to correctly assemble a moving box. Our goal is that you will finally be able to once you finish reading this.
Ensuring your box is put together correctly is for your and your belongings’ safety. Nothing is worse than picking up your box and all your things falling out. Avoid the mess and follow these simple rules. So, here are the supplies you will need:

How to Assemble a Moving Box
1: First, go to your local U-Haul center and pick up your boxes, packing tape, and a utility knife.
2: Next, make sure your box is completely flat.
3: Our flap lock feature has top flaps connected by a small piece of cardboard towards the top. Now, flip both sides down against the box.
4: Open the box up to its square shape. The top flaps should stay against the box with the flap locks, and the box should be square-shaped with the flaps locked.
5: Flip the box over and fold the two opposite flaps together, then repeat for the other two flaps.
Now, use the packaging tape to close the box in a straight line across the middle where the bottom flaps meet. For added protection, add another strip of tape. The less space between these two flaps, the more sturdy the box will be when you pack your things. So, flip the box over and start packing! Once finished, use a utility knife to cut the two small flap locks on the box’s corners. Fold the flaps over (the same as step 5) and use the packaging tape to securely seal them.
So, there you have it! Assembling a moving box is that simple! There is not much to it, making your moving process less stressful.
