You can start with doing a proper post trip when customer return the vehicle. Rented a truck with a flat tire and had to wait 4 hrs for the road side vehicle to come to me not acceptable. And your manager at chicopee store not helpful at all.

I asked if the truck was sanitized before I got into it and the guy said it was. I brought my own disinfecting wipes and wiped down the steering wheel and arm rests and they were disgustingly dirty! I guess they just spray the sanitizer and don't wipe anything down. Also the day I went to reserve a truck my husband and I were walking around the store for over 8 minutes looking for someone to help us. We walked outside to find 3 employees watching another employee backing up a truck! They should never leave the store without an employee!! Then upon returning the truck only 3 hours later, I pulled it up Under the tent where returns are parked only to not be met by an employee. I walked into the store to find 2 employees just standing there staring at the door when I walked in. I had to tell them that I was returning that truck right outside the window!! Just terrible help at that Chicopee store. They need a reliable manager who can keep these employees busy!

When I loaded and offloaded my motorcycle, the under carriage got stuck on the ramp and caused some leak damage. I will take it to the dealership to assess the damage and contact your corporate office a.s.a.p.

I reserved the equipment almost a month in advance, the day before pickup in Webster Uhaul calls to change location to Chicopee, over 60 miles from my home and 2 hours round trip, I did not have this spare time. Uhaul did not offer to reimburse me the extra $50 in gas and tolls for this screw up, After we get started on the trip we find one of the tires on the auto transport is so badly worn out the steel belts are showing. I took several photos.Luckily roadside assistance was able to change it without having to unload the car. On the upside I will say the truck was mechanically perfect, comfortable and did all we had hoped for in spite of the 122k miles on the odometer. The truck was really good.

The hitch was installed such that it vibrates loudly against my muffler and is damaging it. The wiring harness also only half works, which I've determined after testing with numerous trailers and other people's trucks. I've now tried multiple times to schedule a repair and continue getting hung up on, disconnected, and dead-ended. Terrible work, terrible customer service -- what am I supposed to do about it?

This is really the only location out of all the locations that I have used that actually takes care of the customer. The store manager is great and she clearly cares about her employees to the point where they also cater to the customer in such a way that is not common anymore

The key was extremely hard to turn in ignition. If I was not a person familiar with what a copied key sometimes requires to turn in the ignition I may have been stuck without a truck. Luckily I was able to get it to work, others may not be so lucky.

This is regarding my experience on 6/26 around 9am when I arrived. I do not know her name, but there was a woman working who made my absolutely awful experience with U-Haul doable and she deserves credit because she went above and beyond to fix it. I'm sure she will remember me as I was not well at the location at all. She wasn't the employee working with us intially, but saw what was going on, stepped up and she really made the difference,she deserves to be praised. She ran into me outside having an honest meltdown and told me she was going to go inside and take care of it for me. My fiancee was at this point the one inside trying to deal with everything. Our storage unit wasn't even ready when we got there that I reserved over a week, maybe 2 ahead of time and I even had our move in date set for the day before on Saturday. She drove to the unit location at 499 Montgomery st, found us an available unit and made sure it was ready. Her customer service is fantastic and she was the only one who seemed to do more than shrug her shoulders. She is the only reason is is 2 stars and not 1. When you are moving it is very stressful and nobody wants the added stress of checking in on their cellphone and the links not working multiple times in a row. It should not take over an hour in the building to check in for a unit and get keys for a truck that are both reserved ahead of time. Absolutely insane. Your app is also not easy to navigate at all so saying that's a good way to cut down on check in time and eliminate the issues is not accurate. You should be able to sign in on a normal system and not have to rely on your smart phone and it's service. This link check in process on a cell phone is not the time saver you might think it is. Over an hour in that building made my entire moving process that much more behind.

Not all of the vehicles had their number listed on the front bumper. App worked about half the time, would freeze or glitch. Available wifi did not make using the app much better. Was charged for a dolly that we were not given and furniture pads that we did order were not initially supplied.

There was a lot of play in the steering wheel and when the brake was depressed to start the engine, once the truck started, the brake would release suddenly and go almost to the floor. It is not the normal procedure in any vehicle when the brake has to be depressed before starting the vehicle. The truck was clean when we picked it up and of course, when it was delivered

The drivers seat of the truck was completely broken on the left side especially. I had to sit at an uncomfortable angle which caused excessive driver fatigue and back pain. This posed a dangerous condition while navigating right hand turns and trying to keep ones body erect.

This was my first time using U-Haul, and my experience was horrible. I originally setup the order online and got an appointment time of 8a-2pm. The original order number was 23624861. Customer Service Agent #1: I called U-Haul customer service just to get information on the online check-in process, and during the phone call the woman I spoke with changed the timeframe on me to 8a-12p, and when I said I needed the U-Haul truck 8a-2pm (which was why I picked those times) and 12pm would not work for me, she said she would have to transfer me to someone else because she could not get my 2pm time slot back?! Even though I never asked her to modify anything on my order at all! She then cold transferred me to another agent (see below) Customer Service Agent #2: This person asked for my reference number, and I had to tell her what happened since the previous agent didn't tell her? I told her that the previous agent just transferred me after accidentally changing my time slot for U-Haul truck and could not change it back. This agent then said ok, let me transfer you to the local U-Haul (in Chicopee, MA). Which then leads me to my last experience…(see below) Local U-Haul agent: I again for the 3rd time had to explain the situation to this agent. He was empathetic but told me he couldn't change the return time back to 2pm either. I said “Look, I chose 8am-2pm for a reason and that is how long I will need the truck. What is the issue?” He talked to his manager and told me I could just return the truck back before 2pm. Final experience: I arrived to U-Haul at 9am, and could not check-in to pick up the U-Haul truck I had ordered!! I went in and spoke with the owner (Luz) who said the order was canceled because I wasn't there for 8am! I did not get any phone call, email, text, or any other notifications!! I also checked back and did not see anything in my contract that said I needed to be at the location precisely at 8am or the order will be canceled! I told her I have people waiting for me and I need a truck, and I need it until 2pm. She kept telling me that I need to bring it back my noon. I also didn't read anywhere in the contract stating we could only rent the truck for 3-4 hours on a time limit?! She told me the truck had 1/4 tank of gas in it, but it actually only had 1/8th of tank? Even more of an inconvenience that i had to get gas right off the bat. I barely made it back to U-Haul by noon to return the truck. No apology for inconvenience, no discount…nothing. Anyways, needless to say I won't be choosing U-Haul for rental again.

Truck interior definitely not cleaned thoroughly steering wheel sticky, and interior in ok but not great shape. Didnt like the odd amount of fuel upon pickup wish it was full tank so it would be easier to refill accurately. Overfilled the gas due to this which there is no compensation or discount for so my loss in the end, especially with the high fuel costs now. But experience for pickup way better than the boston road Springfield location I used a few years ago.

Clean the trucks. Cigarette butts and old water bottles! Truck drove like it was falling apart. Sun visor wouldn't stay up!! Terrible ride.

I was charged for a dolly that I did not get and there was no ramps to pull the furniture off the truck with so my stuff was broken trying to get the stuff out of the truck with 10 inch's off the ground. Not happy customer

I was supposed to pick up my uhaul in Amherst but the truck didn't arrive. I would have had a better experience if the truck could have been brought to the original location. As I was without a vehicle it was difficult to pick up the truck in a new location but luckily I was able to find a ride.

There was a mixup with the reservation.. sent us to WestSpringfield, only to be sent back to Chicopee. However, staff worked to get out it straightened out, and after that all was fine.
