Van was not ready when we got there. I was the only person there and it took 1 hour for them to get organized & give me the van. I was not offered the option to purchase insurance... The location was fine. It was the Uhual ride share pickup system that was a complete horrific nightmare. So was service provided by the 6 different customer service representatives that typed into the chat window that popped up when I encountered an issue. Took me almost 40 minutes just to get "verified" and get my key. All because the phone number I provided to my "alternate contact" was a work number and not a direct line. The customer service people didn't even help me... the store pushed my reservation through to get me on my way. It was a complete flop on uhuals end and the location expressed their discontent with the system as well. Very poor experience this time around.m and rude representatives that could barely string a sentence of comprehensible instruction together to explain what the issue was...BRENDAN SEAN B.

Truck was fairly new, but had a steering problem. The truck would wander somewhat either left or right. It took quite a while to get use to. It was quite unnerving in the beginning, but I managed to work with after a while.Vincent V.

Had no problem with the location i rented from except for the fact that i originally rented a truck from coram middle country road October 26th and they call me Novemeber 29th the day of my pickup to tell me that they dont carry 26 Foot trucks on site then the lady from the main office sends me over to port jeff and when i arrive to pick up a 20 Foot now because nobody could provide me a truck i rented a month ago i am told that the rental needs to be returned at 6:30 AM from a 6:30 PM pickup... the rental was scheduled for 24 hours!! UHauL overbooks their trucks and cannot properly run a business. then i am charged for 2 Days no idea why and have to wait the â€œ3-5 Business Daysâ€ to be refunded for the correct amount. such a scam. Horribly ran. will never ever rent from a uhaul again.Patrick B.

This has nothing to do with the location. As a company you guys are completely unorganized and absolutely disheveled. People changed my reservation multiple times, a woman on the phone was completely disrespectful questioning my educational level after the chaotic and unorthodox experience I would never recommend U-Haul to any friend or associate. Not to mention I returned the truck two hours early than I reserved and felt like I was way over charged.Kevin C.

The place was fine. The reservation experience was horrible! Changed my location pick up. And changed the time twice. Had to go out of my way to pick up truck. Changed size of truck, then changed back. . Didn't even have the truck for 24 hours!. It was really bad and stressful.Jeannette L.

While the local dealer I ultimately dealt with was fine, I was turned away from the counter at the dealer I wanted to rent from who stated I had to go online to rent. I was then told by uhaul I couldn't get a 10 foot box truck at the dealer most convenient for me despite me seeing them there! I've rented before this being first time with new system and found it unsccomadating and wasteful of my timewilliam T.

We first chose Spotlight automotive, 617 N Bicycle Rd Unit 2 Port Jefferson Station, NY 11776. The morning of the pick up they did not prepare the pickup, did not answer the telephone which your website gave if there was a problem with the pick up ( in fact, I am still waiting for a return call). Your central number routed us to Four Corners, who, luckily, had a van available, and were very accommodating. I wasted almost 2 hours. I do not think that Spolight reflects your company's reputation.mary elizabeth J.

girl at the counter had no idea of how to process uhaul. Took forever, she had to call the boss 3 times, didn't ask me to sign the contract and- most important- never told me she would not be around when I returned the trailer. Returned the trailer to a locked venue. When I called the 800 number, spoke with "Sidney" who said he was from the contact center/reservations. He could/would not help other than to say that I "was responsible" for the rental until it was checked in, even though there was no one to check me in. He later told me to take the equipment home and return it when they open. Finally after aabout 45 min. he told me to go home, open an onnline account and do the return process there. Once finally home, I created an account and learned that I had to go BACK to the Uhaul office to take pictures of the equipment. A 2 hr. project took me all day and lots of frustration.Virginia A.

I received a notification for an alternative pick up, but did not receive for the alternative drop off. I had dropped the truck at Agway in Mount Sinai and was just about to drop the keys in the box when I logged in to the UHaul account and saw this location as drop off....would be helpful to have a notification as to the change in drop off before I got to the locationCharles F.

The personnel at the location were extremely friendly and courteous and a pleasure to deal with. Unfortunately, the truck was the only one they had available and was an older truck, set to be sold as I understand it. I drove it home and the next morning went to start my move and I couldn't get it to start. I tried numerous times to start it, but it seemed the battery was dead. I contacted the location and they came to pick it up from my driveway. They called me and told me it started right up for them. I have no idea why but sometimes cars with electrical problems are unpredictable like that. I had to go rent another truck from the Coram location in order to keep my move schedule and rendezvous with hired movers. This truck was of no use to me but I still received a bill for $52.22 which I should not have gotten as the truck was defective. I want a refund of those monies paid.jason I.

Inefficient process. I needed to go to local rental site THEEE different times to be sure I had a truck reserved. Prior to my pick up, Inreceived an email to pick up the truck I reserved at an ENTIRELY different location. I went to original location to inquire, and attendant was â€œmystifiedâ€ about no longer having my reservation and why ithe reservation was relocated. On the day of the rental, I picked up my truck at original location, began my move, half way through the move, I received a call from â€œnew locationâ€ asking if I was going to pick up my truck???? I rented it out for 3 hours and had put less than 60 miles in it. They charged me for 17 gallons, 30$ fill up fee and also charged me for 163 milesDON J.
The truck I reserved was ready and waiting, but the pads were not. Given that I reserved everything weeks in advance, this should not have been an issue. Was told to go to another UHaul location 15 minutes away that might have pads. At that location, was told that 4 corners had recently sent two other renters with the same issue and the second location was also now out of pads. In an effort to protect my furniture during the move, I drove an unexpected 40 minutes out of my way and ended up with no pads because 4 Corners couldn't be bothered to have some in stock. Will never use 4 Corners again.Christopher P.
