I wanted the truck early, so I chose a mobile pickup. Ended up delayed almost 3 hours due to a truck with a dead battery. Called for assistance and someone was sent who fixed the problem, so it all turned out okay. Still, the delay was worrisome.

Poor: wasted time and paid extra money. My name is , and I recently traveled from Corpus Christi to Kerrville, Texas, to purchase martial arts mats for our nonprofit organization. I reserved the smallest available U-Haul truck in advance because I only needed to transport a few mats and wanted to avoid unnecessary costs and delays. When I arrived at the first location, the gentleman assisting me was very courteous and informed me that his trucks were restricted to local use only. He provided me with a U-Haul customer service number and assured me that they would help resolve the issue. Unfortunately, after spending approximately 15 minutes trying to reach customer service, I was unable to get through to anyone. Since we had left Corpus Christi at 5:30 AM and were trying to get back in time for work, we drove to another U-Haul location nearby. The employee there informed us that a smaller truck was available but could not be rented because it had not been cleaned. The only option offered was a larger truck at a higher cost. At that point, after the delays and frustration, I simply wanted to complete our pickup and head home, so I accepted the larger truck. However, I was disappointed because I had reserved a vehicle in advance specifically to avoid these kinds of issues and additional expenses. While the employees we interacted with were polite and professional, the overall experience did not meet the expectations I had when making my reservation. I appreciate the service U-Haul provides and hope this feedback can help improve the reservation process and customer support experience for future customers.

BRENDA KIt would have been nice to have the code to the gate, this location was closed at 9:00 in the morning, The gate was locked, there was very little room to return, I had to self- return a few feet from a busy highway where cars were passing me at 65 mph. I hated it.

JOSEPH DTried to input that truck cargo door was hard to open/close for first/last foot or so, but app wouldn’t let me input that comment. The lock on the key box was a bit hard to open as I had to play a bit with the precise position of the combination to get it to open, tumblers may be worn.
Bradley DVery difficult to know where to park the truck. I left in front of 2 other U-Haul trucks. Other options were in front of gate to storage unit gate or in a muddy ditch. I called the number on the contract but had to leave a message.

Garry NLeased out 15ft and upgraded us with a 20ft without our knowledge , would not fit our space, had to drive to an unmanned unit in the opposite direction with limited time to return, never used the dolly, and were charged for it anyway. Not our best experience. Never heard from a Uhaul Associate. Thanks for asking.
