I had a good experience but when we checked the trailer lights there was a dim brake light and I did not know there was a problem with the running lights until I was on the road and it became dark.

I will start by saying some of this is not A&G's fault, but U-Haul's. Still, this experience was enough for me to never want to rent from U-Haul again - at least not a self-checkin. The pick-up location I selected, and which was confirmed by email, was NOT this location. I didn't discover that until I opened the app to pick up the truck. It would have been nice to know that in advance. But U-Haul's customer service line had a 2-3 hour callback estimate on this Sunday morning, so I just had to deal with it and go to a farther location, putting me behind schedule and adding some extra miles to the rental (at a dollar a mile). Then, the truck key was difficult to access. I tried several times, then tried all the locks in case it was in the wrong one. I tried calling customer support again, this time being told there was a 15-minute estimate. So while I waited I kept trying the lock, and finally the lock opened, and I got the truck key. Then, even after repeated tries, the U-Haul app wouldn't allow me to upload the REQUIRED photo of the front of the truck, which prevented me from proceeding further through check-in in the app to verify starting mileage and fuel - which was on Empty. I spent the day worried that U-Haul was going to charge me for mileage and fuel I didn't use, or damage I didn't incur. It was also quite inconvenient to start my moving day with fuel on Empty, and a moving crew waiting for me to show up. And finally, we reserved packing blankets, but none were provided, so that was frustrating as well. The bag with packing blankets was open but empty. So all in all, it took a very frustrating half hour to pick up the truck, with almost no fuel, with no blankets, and no available customer support. All that said, I did not actually get charged for excess mileage, fuel, damage, or blankets even though I could provide no proof of any of those things, so that was a big relief the next day. I appreciate that, thanks!

William SI was given a truck that was faulty. The agent knew it had issues and rented it out anyway! Had to return to location with the truck full of cargo with cargo bay door wide open. Door wouldn't close! I was given another truck and I had to unload cargo from the faulty truck to the other truck. I was highly upset since I had movers in my employ! I received no recompense!

DENNIS WI selected a location near to the facility where I was staying, but it was changed by Uhaul to a location several miles away so it doesn’t really matter what the customer selects Uhaul decides what we get and where we get it. That’s why the trailer that I rented prior to this truck was in poor shape had a tire blowout within the first few hours of use and a bad bearing so I had to change out the trailer at a location in Amarillo and of course, unload the trailer and reload it myself Because the equipment I was provided had never been checked by anyone

Kevin WA&G failed to stage my rental correctly, adding miles to my trip to go to York location to pick up blankets and dollies. I even got charged for going over miles because of this. Save yourself time and just go to the York location to rent.
