Maybe don't have trucks on the road that are long past life the truck ramp didn't work properly the truck had bad shake between 60 and 65 and when u decelerated gas gauge stopped working went to orange and stayed there even after filling other than that I made it and it ran fine

Renting UHaul from Greg at Acorn was easy. My complaint was that the fuel gauge on the truck was broken. The fuel indicated 3/4 tank at start and was fine on the first leg of the journey; however, I noticed the gauge was suddenly at EMPTY on the way back. This completely freaked me out, making me think that I had used all the fuel and that I was in danger of getting stuck on the freeway. I quickly made it to the closest gas station and filled up. To my surprise, it topped out at 27 gallons. I started up the truck again and the gauge was still showing empty. At this point, it hit me that the tank was never empty and that the gauge was broken. I had always planned on fill the truck backup to where I started, but wasn't planning on over filling by a significant amount. There was a policy to not give credit for filling more gas, only policies that penalizes for not return with the same level of gas; however, in my case, I had to fill it because the gauge showed EMPTY! I am not sure what other customers could have done in this case. I think it would have cost UHAUL way more to have this truck towed back. In my opinion, a truck with failed fuel gauge should not be rented! I had only drove 49 miles, and so even at the worse MPG of 5mpg, I would have used less than 10 gal of gas. I left a voicemail immediately after returning the truck afterhours and received a voicemail from Greg the next morning. Greg didn't seem to recognize the fuel gauge issue but did confirmed the gas tank was full. I have pictures and receipts to prove my case. Again, UHAUL should not have rented a truck with failed fuel gauge, no customers would have rented a truck with a failed fuel gauge if they had known, and customers should not be penalized because there was no way to tell how much fuel was left in the truck. No extra charge was placed on the account, but I obviously had to over pay for fuel significantly at the benefit of UHAUL, which left me with a slight bad feeling. With the failed fuel gauge (I have photos), I paid 27.739 gallons of gas at $3.199/gal, which cost me $88.74 (I have the receipt). I only drove 49 miles (proved by the odometer), so I really only needed to add about 8 gallons. Overpaying the fuel by $50-$60 isn't going to break my bank, but surely no customers would be happy about this situation. I recognize that Acorn doesn't own the truck, but does process the rental. I also recognize that UHaul count on customers to report issues with the truck, which I did before getting billed. I wish UHAUL/Acorn would have been a bit more fair about this situation. Aside from this, I was able to get what I needed moved, took care of the truck and put it back exactly where I got it from.

michael GAdjustable driver seat & steering column. I'm petite & need to sit on pillows to drive your truck. That's a safety hazard for uhaul.
ARLENE PWe were not told a 10 foot truck we rented was the only truck you rent that does NOT have a ramp. Could not return for an exchange in a timely way because manager locked store and left for awhile. He then attempted to charge double for 2 days when we attempted to cancel transaction out of frustration. Manager yelled at my husband. Check your video camera for more details. We ended up keeping the 10 foot truck for two days having to use a broken door as a ramp. Manager suggested using something like that. Would appreciate a discount for this hassle. God bless.

Patricia SWe reserved 2 moving dollies when we placed this order. They were not available when we picked up the truck. This made our move very difficult. If you were not going to honor that reservation request we should have been informed before we got there so that we could have made other arrangements. We also asked for furniture pads and those were not in the truck. The link that we were sent to confirm this did not work online. Otherwise ... the truck worked. Thank you.

Was told it’s not their problem that we need to call the U-Haul as they are only a third part and then told that Jim made an error and will talk to someone and call me back. Never heard back. All together even turning it back early, nothing was solved so will update once I call them again the 2nd time.

Juli WI paid and checked in days in advance. I work well into the night so I came 45 minutes later than the start of my scheduled pickup. Attendant, who had just opened the office gave me lip about giving away the truck I'd reserved for nearly 2 months and about how I should have followed instructions. I was unable to pick up my reserved truck without his help. I'd reserved 2 box dollies but only when asked about it did he dismiss the issue of there only being one due to not having the equipment I reserved on hand. The truck was in poor shape. ABS light on and off intermittently, huge exhaust leak to disturb new neighbors with, rough running engine. I suppose on the bright side, I wasn't directed to a different location the day before as is customary with uhaul.

Kristen LI was immediately greeted at the door with "you can't park you car there". I proceeded to stand out in the cold as I explained it was only temporary (car was still running with a passenger inside) and as we discussed this location's terrible parking situation. After finally being let inside it took quite awhile to provide all the information needed due to a dysfuntional electronic process. The rep behind the desk was rude and clearly didn't want to be there. I would not recommend leaving your vehicle parked here as it will likely be blocked in by trucks. The rep recommended we park at the Public Works next door where many police cars were parked. Looked very sketchy and probably would've been towed from there had we parked there. I'd highly advise avoiding this location.
CHRISTOPHER WI would not use the 24/7 share because not all UHAUL establishments are connected by it. That's not a bad thing. Because I didn't use it, my reservation was kept intact and my truck was where it was supposed to be at the right time by booking it via a regular mobile phone call. Everything went off without a hitch. Now I know the most reliable way to book a truck or equipment reservation with UHAUL. I highly recommend it.

Alfred JHard to check in on smartphone. Took at least an hour to check out the truck so I had to add an hour on to the return of the truck because it was almost 3:00 by the time we had it half unloaded. Make sure to check out for the entire day.

Tony cI was asked to download the app to make my check in and check out "easier". It was far from easy and I was not able to go pick up my rental until they opened at 9 am, which made for a huge mess as I was to have floral delivered to a wedding at 8 am. I am not sure how I can continue to rent vehicles from UHaul if I have to use the app to make this work. I could not even check out. Had to wait until Monday am and hope and pray that it was done correctly and that I was not charged an extra day. Who knows, I probably was.
Carmen CFor one-way rentals, I would recommend a full tank of gas, not the 1/4 tank that was given. The first thing I had to do was to fill up the tank. First the rental is expensive followed by $100 bill for gas, is a wee bit daunting!
