Jose HI had a reservation for a UHaul truck/ car transport trailer reserved for this day at the Illinois Fleet Service located at 1500 S Schoolhouse Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451. I was contacted the day before by an employee named William and assured everything was all set when I flown in from Detroit. It was a nightmare! After 40 minutes of zero help/ no employees since it was closed on the weekend, I was advised by UHaul that a truck/ trailer combo was NOT allowed by this shop not open. The truck/ trailer combo was not ready as promised. Thankfully, although I had to drive 23 more miles to the Advanced Auto Sales location, I was able to get what I needed and get on the road. Rich was amazing! I’ve never heard of UHaul being closed on weekends-when most people move! I give Rich at Advanced Auto Sales praise and high Marks, however, after dealing with Illinois Fleet Services, I wouldn’t even rate them ONE STAR.

JAMES MThe trailer I rented was advertised as a 6'x12' trailer with a ramp on the Uhaul site. I rented the trailer online and traveled 1 hour away to pick up and item. Once I arrived at my location, I realized only the interior compartment is 6' wide while the section where the gate is located is only 5' wide. At that point I was unable to use the trailer due to the width discrepancy and had to return the trailer. Uhaul needs to do a better job and advertise the trailer with the correct measurements.

Nicole GMake sure if your doing an after hours rental you leave the key in the right box and make sure the equipment is there. Luckily all the lockboxes were not actually locked so I went through every one to find my key but couldn't undo the lack of a Dolly. Driving all over Chicago when I have a time sensitive pickup was not fun.

Mark RRich was awesome when picking up the U-Haul truck! Everything was easy, he was waiting there for us, and took less than 5 mins to get the truck. It was a little confusing to figure out where to park/enter to pick up the truck, so it was lucky that Rich was waiting for us. I did have a very frustrating experience with U-Haul during pick up. When reserving the truck online, I selected my pick up location as Romeoville. I went to the Romeoville U-haul center at 2 pm for pick up, as was shown on my reservation confirmation, only to be told that my reservation was changed to the Lockport location, and that I needed to go and pick it up immediately because they closed at 3 PM. I never received an e-mail, text, or any other sort of notification that my pick-up location had changed. This experience was stressful, led to significant rushing, and took an extra hour to drive to and from the lockport location due to heavy traffic. I was disappointed that I was never notified about the change

Erikas DI told my phone service that I needed the trailer in Romeoville on Weber road literraly 5 minutes from home they booked me for Lockport. Which was a 30 minute drive from my home. Needless to say I was behind schedule. Very unhappy!!!

Zachary HNo personnel there. I managed taking pictures & submitting on app. The parking lot is sloped, so we weren't able to park the trailer in the parking lot. We didn't want the trailer to roll away once it is disconnected, so we parked it on the side.

Thomas FScam they charge you a fee for it being at a quarter tank and they send you out with a quarter tank put exactly three gallons and raise there tank for way over what they give you the gas at….second a roll of tape and a card board box

Laura GYet again uhaul moves my pickup miles away from my chosen location. This caused all sorts of delay, expense, and pick up at night in a strange location. Zero stars for UHaul (local guy Rick was OK, but why not drop the truck at Bolingbrook location requested?).

Kenneth PRich called me three days prior to the reservation informing me of a change in my location pick up. Without this phone call I would have never received notice that my location was changed. Then on pick up day he informed me how to properly unlock the truck and made it a seamless process. There was no notice from my application informing me of the location change for pickup. Rich gave me enough notice to plan ahead.

Vincenzo BI had to get my U-Haul from the one on 30 highway in Joliet they also had a location on Jefferson but the one on Jefferson and Joliet the woman was very rude to me when I made my reservation so I ended up canceling rescheduling on the phone with the lady and picking up at a different location which they were way better and very nice and pleasant
