Called corporate to find a U-Haul..sent us to a dealer in mocksville NC. U-Haul was in the yard but they were closed. Guy was there working on a motor home but couldn’t do anything for us. Wasted an hour. Luckily Alexander’s Automotive called and had one for us. This guy went above and beyond. 5 stars

The truck was not available once I arrived to the location. I was then promise a larger truck for the same price which was then also unavailable.. I ended up with a much larger truck than I needed.. which was hard to drive for a 5’2 woman.. then I was told that I had to be back by 5pm.. after I was held up at the location until after 3.. my original pick up time was 1:30. Very poor service.

The online check in did not work at all. The rented blankets were not in the truck. An employee just happened to remember that he forgot to put them in the truck and showed up to put them there. We were delayed for an hour which could have easily messed up the timing of my move because I HAD to be out by a certain time for the walk through by the new owners on the home I was leaving. If he had not HAPPENED to show up, we would have been left there not knowing what to do. I was on the 800 number with UHAUL but was on hold forever.... no one ever came on to help me...and then the employee showed up - pure happenstance. I will never ever recommend nor use that location again, and probably won't ever use UHAUL again. It was extremely stressful. Plus I had to pay movers for an extra hour, which was $175!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trailer had a flat---which I had to fix. People helping me move had to wait an hour before I got back. Cost me $10.00 to plug the flat. Rental location had NOTHING--no hitch balls, NOTHING. They don't seem committed.

There was no markings for U-Haul pickup or drop off. The parking lot was full of cars, no parking available for truck.

The rental place was fine, but the pick up / drop off process is lengthy & tedious from the phone. Things aren’t well marked there, and the small parking lot is very full. There’s no one there to help, either. Things were confusing. The entire uhaul experience was so-so, at best. The a/c in the truck went out twice (called & maintenance fixed it once), the mirrors would t adjust, the movers contracted via uhaul never came, putting us in a bind. The only option was a 24-hour reservation, and I needed 36 hours after the movers didn’t come. I’m still disputing the charge for extra time, since customer service said I wouldn’t be charged. Getting someone from uhaul on the phone over the weekend is nearly impossible, too. I spent a lot of time on hold. Will I use uhaul next time? Ehhhh... not sure.

While the location in Clemmons was fine. It was NOT the location I was supposed to pick my vehicle up from. My confirmed location did not have the truck I reserved 2 weeks prior. I had to drive 20 miles OUT OF MY WAY to pick a truck up. That added to my mileage and time. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I had great service and the person who checked me out was very quick and efficient and answered all questions I had. I didn’t have a reservation but i got a truck as fast as though I had a reservation. So... very pleased

Requested closer location, as this booking was made a few weeks in advance. Instead had to rearrange moving day (not an easy feat) to accommodate a one hour round trip to pick up the UHaul. When we got there, we were told there would be no moving blankets (again, that we had ordered and prepaid weeks in advance) as they had run out. Had to then drive another 15 minutes to the UHaul store in downtown traffic to receive moving blankets.

My U-Haul did not come with the equipment I had reserved (appliance dolly) which made my moving experience very difficult. The ramp on the truck also did not lock into place which made it difficult trying to avoid tripping. Also I arrived at my location to pick up my U-Haul at 9am as reserved and the phone pickup had not even approved me yet so I sat there for 25 minutes before I could “get approved” for the U-Haul. Other than that it was fine.

Good friendly local people. They serviced my uhaul needs when I moved to Clemmons back in 2010. Now I moved out and they served me well again. Speedy service and easy use app made it lot less painful and nice to do it all by phone. They were quite busy at shop so glad all I had to do is ask for my key to truck. Alexander’s good people. Uhaul always good experience. Just wish insurance was cheaper lol

App did not work for pickup. Doors to van were left unlocked with keys and my contract in there. Then I was unable to check out my return an hour later. Very stressful had to make phone calls and emails to make sure it was known that van was returned.

Recommend to set door locks on trucks so they will not lock the door when closing the door from the outside but must use key to lock doors. I accidently locked the truck door. When I got out using the door for support getting down, the door lock was accidently pushed down and I closed the door. When I tried to open the door, it was locked.
