The actual uhaul itself was a success and the price was more than fair for my move, but when I showed up to rent it, I wasn't able to actually get it for about 45 minutes because nobody was there to help me. And then on top of that, the truck's gas tank wasn't filled all the way up like it should be, so when I returned it I filled it all the way up to avoid issues and was not able to be reimbursed for the extra $40 I threw into the tank. Basically I got screwed. Again, once I was helped and actually rented the uhaul everything was great! It was just the beginning and the end that was an anxious experienceMatthew W.

No where to park the truck - had to attempt to maneuver the truck around in the middle of the street and turn around so I could park it on a side street. There is vacant property nearby - I strongly suggest buying some and making a parking lot for vehicles.JAMES B.

The truck was filthy dirty. Not washed either inside or outside. A picture of the muddy floor was submitted. The tank was not full. I was handed a document stating you were disinfecting the trucks due to Covid19. It was not true at all. The seats, wheel, dashboard were all filthy and muddy. I had to disinfect the truck myself before I could drive it. You should be ashamed of putting your customers at such a risk.Maria M.

I had made sure this location would be open until 5 - as their website states - when I dropped off the truck since I was having trouble with my cell phone. I arrived at 4:30, turned around in the street, and the person attending it shut and locked the door. I knocked, no answer. Now they are charging me a $20 service fee. I would warn all "next customers" to avoid this place at all costs.David M.
The woman who helped us was fantastic, very friendly and walked us through the whole process since it's changed quite a bit with COVID. We have had poor service at the location off of State St., and we're concerned we'd have issues with one as well but we were really impressed with how simple it was. Better customer care I was giving a run around. Then Uhaul would not add miles to my contract. On top of it they never gave me back my 100 dollar cash deposit. Scam artists if you ask me.Collin H.

They wouldn't give me a 15 foot, the size I reserved, or a 20 foot because the locks were frozen. So i got a 10 foot and had to take two trips. so instead of driving 25 miles one way, I drove 100 miles total. She only gave me a discount on mileage and 30$ off. I feel that that was not enough and more should have been done for me. Instead of moving in one trip I spent another 4 hours moving and had to pay my movers by the hour.Jacquelyn F.

After having a horrible experience at another location and with U-Haul trying to get help (do not ever try to do a self-pick up through the app- it doesn't work, it's a total waste of time, and you can't get anyone to help you when it goes wrong) I canceled that reservation and came to this location so I could have an actual human help me. I tried the mobile check-in, but it kept crashing. The gal at the office was able to convert it to a regular check-in. The van had dirt/mud under both seats, but I couldn't take upload a picture as it would keep crashing. Also, I couldn't leave a comment on the cleanliness without attaching a picture, which I get - but I had to give up my ability to rate the cleanliness due to the faulty system. I'm just grateful the gal at the office was so helpful and willing to help.Tori W.

Dropped off trailer day before it was due back. Was told by person there that she was actually closed but I could drop off trailer right in front where I was parked. I asked if there was any paper work and she said no, detached trailer, took picture, left and now being billed for extra day. Now disputing charge on Citi Visa for extra day.Prestone W.

My trucks a/c did not work. I had to spend almost a full day to get another truck. this location closed their doors before posted times to close which was 5 pm. i had to spend almost a full day to get a replacement vehicle. I will never use u-haul again... I was offered a $150 by field manger for a $1279 charge. I also put $30 worth of gas in truck that was never used. Road side assistance could not help me due to state laws so I was forced to take truck to another location one plus hours form where i would be using truck. I will be also contacting the BBB. I have spent 8 plus days on the phone with multiple customer service agents trying to resolve in a reasonable manner. I fell i should receive a minimum of $300 credit(which is about a one day of lost use of truck due to a/c not working) plus the $30 in gas I put in truck that I never used. Only drove from pickup location to where I picked up replacement vehicle.phillip W.

I didn't have anyone to help me connect and disconnect the trailer to my car so I had to ask a stranger for help. It was much too heavy for one person. There was only one person working who clearly could've used help. She tried to send me to another location which was unnecessary. Also the left turn signal on my trailer wasn't working. The pick up location was great have no problem with that. I did have an issue thought when I went to pick the car hauler up the people who reserved it did not tell me what size ball to have not did they tell me they wouldn't have one there either. Terrible service Vehicle was not returned for days after I returned it. Called English road branch in Indiana for 2 days. No one answered. Mailbox was full so I couldn't leave a voicemail. Called 1800 customer service. Was put thru to Arizona. Customer service ladies were helpful. District manager was supposed to call me. That never happened. Total nightmare. Will NEVER rent from English Avenue location. Truck was clean.Steve E.

After I picked up my rental truck and arriving at the apartment I was moving out of. I realized the truck was too small I called the 800 number to get a bigger one. The representative located a truck on English Ave. I was told to switch the trucks out at this location. The employee will know what to do. The representative did not tell me to return the first truck back to the original place I rented it from. I was also told I would be given a credit for the 10' foot truck and charged for the 15 'foot truck. After the move I seen that I had not been credited. I called the 800 number again about this. I was told I was charged for the 10' truck because I did not return it the place of pick up. Had the representative told to me to do that I would had. Basically, I paid for two rental trucks. Not happy about that. My fault for not reserving the right size the first time. The Uhaul personnel needs to be more clear and give complete instuctions when giving information.Susan H.

The location was very dirty, lady at desk had her kids running around and they kept interrupting our conversation. The kids continually asked for drinks, food, turn on TV, etc... The truck was newer, but the bed was dirty and had something sticky on it. Past person spilled something and everything stuck to the floor.Brandon K.
