My over all experience with U-Haul and this particular location was horrible. Even though I reserved the dolly and other items in the reservation, nothing was available. I got a lot of advice from the person on how customer should be knowledgeable rather the u-haul understanding the customer as if it was my mistake to book u-haul on month end. Also, he charged 17 dollars for 15 km usage.

I had to wait longer than I expected because of other business that the owner had to service. Inside the car was some dirt on the cupholder area. I reported this in the application when taking the car. There was also some dust. I had to use your application to return the car and if chose the report car was dirty I had to pay $25 for cleaning. This is flaw in the process. As a result I chose car was clean, so the next customer will face the same issue.

They charged me 25 CAD plus tax for cleaning and when I asked why, they said it was dusty. This is rip off. I rented U-Haul several times before and never charged for the cleaning.

My booking was from 12:30 pm. About 25 min I waited at the store as the store person was busy with his own business (LED Lighting) customer. Truck was ready but he was answering his customer. There is conflict of interest between U-Haul and other business

1 - don't make the customer have to re-answer all the online pre-check in questions when they arrive for pick-up, especially when doing it online was supposed to speed up the process. 2 - check that your vehicles are working before the customer arrives 3 - take responsibility to fix the issue with the vehicle and not leave it to the customer when the vehicle hasn't even left your property. Serious need to improve customer service. 4 - keep jumper cables available on site

We did not have a reservation, yet we received excellent and curteous service, the van was in great shape, clean and functional, we left the key in the box and by the end of the day we received the receipt for the whole service charge -- overall a very pleasant experience!

The shop assistant is very rude, doesn't care customer, his main job is LED light & Electricity so does not careto U-haul customers and Satisfaction. He didn't come to help but when I separated Cargo trailer alone, then came back to him, he entered late time in website and didn't consider to arriving to his job site and time I was doing to separate Cargo and lpark it

I do not recommend mobile pick up to anyone at this location particularly. It was very confusing and the sales man at the LED store was very rude. He did not offer to help me. I asked where the keys for the car were located and he just told me at the back of the building. I walked all the way to the back but could not find anything. When I walked back to the store askikg him for help he was rude and very unprofessional. He kept on saying you did the mobile pick up and it's your job to find where the car or the key is.

The rental vehicle was honestly disgusting from top to bottom. It is abundantly clear that Uhaul does not conform with COVID-19 safety procedures. When I disputed the charges when checking out, nobody contacted me to discuss. They just billed me anyways and pretended like I was a satisfied customer. Honestly a shameful display by Uhaul and I will never ever use them again or recommend to a friend. They should be reported to the local health authority for noncompliance.

The process for registering and finding the keys was the closest thing to an escape room since COVID hit. We didn't want to dispute any photos in case we were locked out of the van. Photos weren't up to date.

I would not use the smart check-out again unless I have no other option. I had to send a picture of my Driving license 3 times, and my head shot 2 times, one of them during the long wait in the parking lot while someone was verifying my appointment, this took around 15 minutes, plus the time needed to take photos of the vehicle and confirm stuff on the app. so about 20-30 minutes after the time I booked the Van, I was able to get out of there. An in person check out is much faster and easier.

Feedback regarding U-Haul Contract 28037823 This was a very disappointing rental experience for me. The service at the John street location was great. However, I had placed my rental with the location on Doncaster. When I arrived at 11:00 yesterday, I tried to pick up my vehicle with the website and received a message that the vehicle was not available. I went into the store and was advised that the vehicle I had reserved was supposed to have been returned the previous night but had not yet been returned. Despite the fact that I had a reservation and the vehicle had not been returned, the proprietor of the store had not contacted the previous renter in the two hours the store had been open to ask about getting it returned. To make it worse, she told me that this had happened several times before with this same person. She offered to rent me a cargo van as a substitute but did not offer any sort of discount given that I would need to take multiple trips if I switched vehicles. In the end she found the alternate rental at the John location, but that resulted in my having to travel and pay for an extra 12 km of driving. (Plus related gas charges). This experience has been very disappointing and soured me on the idea of using u-haul in the future.

Please indicate that the lock box is in the back of the store, not close to the drop-off box at the front of the store. It was unclear and confusing

I gave average not to the location itself. But rather to u-haul reservation system. The guy at Americo Lighting was great, for him i will give 5 stars. I booked the 15 ft truck at a location near me. And as the truck was not available they sent me to Americo. To my surprise they change my order to give me a mini cargo van. The reason I booked a 15ft truck is because I know how much stuff I have to move. So there was some discussion that went by. And 2 hrs later I managed to get what I needed. Everything shifted by 2 hrs and even then UHaul charged me extra fee for returning the truck late..???????

Again, at this location, the attendant was quick to comment on how nice my car is, and just as quick to indicate that I can disconnect the trailer if I wish. He then proceeded to tell me to hold off because this may be the wrong drop off location. This was after we had spent 20 minutes talking to Uhaul on the phone hoping to drop off at a location that is 2 minutes from where we were and insisted I drive 20 minutes away to a farther location. Needless to say, I am disgusted by Uhaul and it's customer service. Two location, over 4 hours driving apart from each other, with employees showing great disrespect and disregard to the customer. This tells me it is a systemic cultural problem at Uhaul. I will take my business elsewhere next time.

Horrible customer service. Overcharged us for gas even though we dropped it off at the same fuel level we picked it up at. We called customer service and they had no explanation for any of the charges and cut us off and redirected us to the location manager in the middle of the discussion. Didn't send us any proof of the fuel levels before and after, could not even explain the charges we were questioning (claimed the difference was all “sales tax”).

The equipments we asked and booked for wasnt available. Your representative said, you didnt pay it for it yet so its fair that it's not available. Sometimes he has it sometimes he has not. I asked to switch to a van instead of 10 feet truck, he said he has to charge me the same price. I had experience with uhaul in the pas, always good always helpful and professional.This representative owns an electronic store and inside his is also dealing with Uhaul customers. I would never go back. Because of his lack of service, my husband and I suffered deeply from physical pressure of moving our equipments with empty hands instead of dolly. He could have offer a better service or he could give us a call and let us know that what we asked for he didnt have. I booked this a week in advance. And my booking was for Sunday, if it was a different day I would have just left his store after I know he only cares for money not customers.

In theses times of COVID, I would hope that the van would have been at least wiped down. It was not had Used dental picks and floss in the door space, spills all over cup holders and trash in the cab. Drive home and wiped down the interior myself.

Not switch my pick up location without any sort of notification or heads up. Make clear that there is BOTH a charge for fuel (even if the amount used is negligible) PLUS mileage (again, even if the distance is negligible). Make the pick up and drop off easier and more clear.

The website booking process was very difficult and unclear, plus the dollar totals on the quotes kept changing. Very frustrating; your competitors are much better at the web bookings. Your billing is also opaque and unclear, changing all the time. None of this inspires confidence in booking with uhaul.

It took an hour for me to get the van and to get going. the U-haul attendant was preoccupied selling light bulbs and very unhelpful and rude. When I arrived he made me leave the shop so he could lock it and go and help a couple with their U-haul rental. When I struggled with the app he was very dismissive and unhelpful. I did not get the same level of service and the previous customer. Moving home is stressful and he seemed irritated that I didn't understand the U-haul process. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

The store manager unfortunately had a customer that he had to service (asking lots of questions) but it took almost 15 minutes of waiting just to receive the uhaul keys after approval on the uhaul mobile app. Too long of a wait especially when on a already tight rental time frame.

Can barely see the lines of the parking lot and also I had to worst after hours drop off experience of the century. Had to call customer service twice. The app is terrible. The website is terrible. Hire a better PM or better devs. This was lame!
