I am writing to formally report a safety concern regarding a U-Haul vehicle I rented today. During my rental period, the passenger-side mirror would not remain in position and continuously moved while I was driving. This created a significant visibility issue and required constant adjustment, causing repeated distractions while operating the vehicle. A properly functioning side mirror is an essential safety feature, and the inability of the mirror to remain secure could have contributed to an accident by limiting visibility of surrounding traffic and creating an unsafe driving condition. I wanted to bring this matter to your attention so the vehicle can be inspected and repaired before being rented to another customer. I also request that this complaint be documented and reviewed appropriately. Thank you for your prompt attention to this safety concern. I look forward to your response.

Bryon FI dropped off my rental a Day early on Friday 5/22 it was due back Saturday 5/23. No one was at the lot and no one came in to see it until Sunday 5/24. I was charged an extra day of rental and I actually returned it early. I would not use this location again
John SArrive to pick up a preordered trailer. When hooking up the right tail light, brake light nor turn signal would work. After calling the repair man who arrived promptly the lights would still not work. He changed bulbs however the trailer light would not work. I was told most people don’t care but I was driving to New Jersey from North Carolina and wanted all lights working. After working on the light for 1.5hrs it was decided to go to a neighboring store and get their trailer. The turn signal and brake light worked however the right side running lights did not. I didn’t realize this as the service man gave me thumbs up when checking before I left. The trip was successful however owning trailers of my own I have lights working before heading long distances. I don’t desire to receive a discount but the thought of offering one to show customer service would draw me back to this location. No need to offer now as I wouldn’t accept it but wanted you to know that both U-Haul trailers were not “fit” to be pulled that distance. My hope is maintenance is required to be performed by corporate to ensure U-Haul reputation is upheld

The only The only thing that would have made this experience better would have been no charge for the rental. But, there I go with the "magical thinking"!! Really, I couldn't have had a better experience with this location!

TERRY SWorking with the staff online went ok nothing bad nothing above and beyond. Main issue came when I had to get straps because the one on the trailer was too short. It took extra time and aggravation to do what I rented the trailer for in the first place. UHaul did reimburse me for the straps I had to use but that kind of stuff should be caught ahead of time.

Patrick DMaybe use a different type of entry mode for the key drop off box, I had a problem with the lock as far as getting the letters correctly in the columns that are in-between the numbers a then all lined up in order 2 unlock the combination lock and never was able 2get it 2 wk,just think it would be easier if it was all numbers or letters, best if it was a keyless entry or electronically activated, but that's a very small issue compared with the very acommadating when needing extra time or changes with the return date of the original rental contract.
Sterling HCustomer service was great but the truck was nasty chick fa la cup on dash board and you can tell the drink was splattered all over the dashboard and window and everything was dirty if I get sick I know I got it from the germs in there
JESSICA HThe truck was clean but did not drive well at all. There was a significant shake/vibration in the front end. I was close to turning around and bringing it back to switch to a different truck, but decided to just deal with it given it was a relatively short move. The staff and customer service were very good. Somehow my rental got canceled, even though I made it the day before. But the situation was quickly remedied and I was on my way with the truck I had reserved.

PATRICK DNothing really, I had no issues, it was great. The only thing that bothered me a little was the driver side sun visor wasn't there. Which didn't effect me driving at all, just hard to see when I was pulling in at home with the sun blaring into my eyes.
JERMIAH BReserved a 6x12 trailer online And received my reservation confirmation. Drove over to their location 2 days before to check sizes and get info during business hours but no one was around. Then called the next day to check again and left a voice mail.no response. So went there the morning of reservation at 8:45 (which i knew they didn't open until 9 00)and hoping that someone would be there.at around 8:55 i called again with no answer and left another message. At 9:10 i hooked my truck up to the trailer and waited until around 9:20 and left.i didn't know if i was supposed to do that or what the procedure was around 9:30 i got a call from a women and she said she was on her way and she would their close to 10.i explained the situation and she wanted me to turn around and that i was basically stealing the trailer. Not once did she apologize for not calling me back,being there when she was supposed to or anything. She said that the trailer was to be returned by 5 and if it was 5:30 or later that she wouldn't be there because she had to leave early. I told her i would probably have it back around 3.i returned a few minutes after 3 and again no one was around. I'm not sure how someone runs a business like that.I had to meet someone outside of Charlotte NC at 11 and i couldn't wait and had to make the decision that i did.very unprofessional and never go back there again.

The manager made me wait after I complained about how dirty the truck was for about 15 minutes while she sort of cleaned out the cab and made excuses about why it was so dirty. Very unprofessional. I will not return to this location and not recommend it
