Great service

John GApplication & online services did not allow for option of extending time period of rental in advance. Tried to call, but received no answer. One representative was helpful to extend the time to an extra day.

MALIK SBrakes were very worn, almost did not take the vehicle. Minor, but the radio did not work either. Truck was clean and the location was excellent to deal with other than the above.

Mark WThe drop off hours are a tad bit inconvenient as this location closes at 3 p.m. Ultimately, my complaint here is more about the app. I dropped the truck off after hours so I had to try and use the app, which was glitchy and wouldn't complete the return. I finally just took pictures of everything, hunted for the drop box which was unlabeled, and hoped they would figure out why they had an extra truck. Thankfully, they did otherwise I would have called them the next day.

Robert MThe employee did not wait until I had the truck started before closing early and taking off for the night. As soon as the truck got around 50km/h the check engine light came on, then the entire cab begin shaking/swaying. I was left stranded on the side of the highway for 4 hours because it took forever for Uhaul to dispatch someone. Mechanic came and advised U-Haul that I shouldn't be driving this truck in this state. UHaul wanted me to drive it across town anyway. Thankfully Cal Tire stuck with me as we made our way to upper Centennial unable to go over 50 without the cab shaking so much that it felt like it was about to fall apart. I booked a one way route, however U-Haul made me drive this to a location that only rents out in town rentals. UHaul asked me to return to Hamilton after I'm finished at my own cost of gas and km. Upper Centennial location understood that I did not pay for a round trip and that I will not be charged the extra to accommodate them (especially after being stuck at the side of the highway for 4 hours). Overall, Ancaster location: not very professional, did not wait to ensure I got the truck started safely, and closed early. Gave me a truck that is actively breaking down. Upper Centennial: understanding, nice, and accommodating Cal Tire was fantastic and stuck with me to ensure I got to the location safely. (Cal Tire advised against driving the truck, U-Haul demanded I still drive it)
Lindsey Ealthough the equipment (trailer) worked, it was very old and needed some functional hold down rings inside to make tie down easy
don bThe truck was a piece of trash, never felt so unsafe in a vehicle. And I was suppose to pickup in Burlington so I had to spend $70 taking an Uber to a city I don’t live to drive back to Burlington - more wasted time and money.
Timothy Dvery friendly and helpful over the phone wanted to make sure we were good with eveerything and gave me the rundown of what to do. It was after hours and they had the truck ready for us. But our issue was with the change of location before we picked up the truck. Which has nothing to do with this location and the service we received. The app is terrible, it repeatly kept glitching on both of our phones, it took us 2 hrs to pick up the truck

Edward NTruck suffered a blown front tire. 3 hours until tow. 7 hours until tire repair, at which time the tire technician informed that all six tires needed replacement. Maintain the vehicles.

Marissa GThe drop off was at a convenient location. But using the mobile app to try to process the return after hours was frustrating. the time to download, sign up, and in the end it did not work. The app required me to pick a location and requested a zip code, allowing only numbers, not Canadian postal codes. I had to abandon the app, and drop off the keys. The next day i was billed for the difference between miles and kilometers. JD at this location was great at acknowledging the problem and fixing it. accidents happen. But enfuriating that it takes UHaul 2-5 business days to correct the visa transaction. UHaul is lucky to have good people at their locations, but their systems are terrible.
sean hWInter weather was expected and acknowledged when I picked up the van. The representative did helpfully point out that the van only has all season tires, but what I discovered on the highway was that there was very little windshield washer fluid in the reservoir. I ended up driving with an extremely dirty and salt-covered windshield on the 403, which is extremely dangerous. I was basically guessing where the lanes were. When I brought that to the representative's attention, he was apologetic, but divulged that the corporate UHaul does not reimburse the locations for windshield washer fluid, so they only periodically add a 1/2 bottle of fluid. He candidly admitted that the van's reservoir could easily take two bottles of windshield fluid, but the approach they take is a penny wise and a pound foolish. It is very fortunate that I did not get in a collision or drive off the highway as I could not see. I will be sure to share the approach UHaul takes to safety with anyone who is thinking about renting a van and encourage them to go elsewhere. JD himself is very lovely to work with, but the corporate approach to basic maintenance is extremely unsafe and silly.

Al WI was impressed. The service was exemplary. The attendant explained everything very clearly. He was quite patient with me as I was figuring things out with the truck. The truck was clean. As a 5' 1" senior woman I was nervous about driving the smaller truck, but it was very driver friendly. I appreciated the extra lower mirrors. It didn't take long to feel comfortable driving the truck. I had to drive on the 401 highway between 2 big cities as well as in each of the cities. Maneuvering through heavy traffic as well as a heavy rain storm was easier than I expected. Refueling was easy. The chart explaining how many litres I needed to replace was very helpful. I will recommend Uhaul to my friends and not hesitate to use it again if needed.

JOHN KThis is the Best storage and U-Haul location I have been to. They take great care of their clients, they have boxes and all the moving equipment I needed. I would highly recommend this location to anyone needing a storage unit or a U-Haul, they are the BEST.
Adam SMobile pick up and drop off is really easy and convenient allowing me to pick up end of day and return and check out. Being in an industrial park, the location may not allow female customers to feel overly comfortable - my wife wouldn't want to spend 15 minutes there if she were alone and returning a vehicle after dark. For me, excellent and easy. Will rent again as needed from this location. Staff contacted me before the end of their day to ensure I was all set for a convenient pick-up. Great service.
