I will rent from U-Haul again, but not this location. I found the self-service pick-up and return process very cumbersome. during the pick-up, the signal was lost and I had to start over. I found the process not very clear. During the return process, I had made note of the milage, and was going through the process from the comfort of my car, it was raining at the time, when I discovered that a picture of the milage and fuel was needed. And i had to go back to the rental. I don't recall finding a "submit" button when all was said and done. As far as the truck is concerned, it was very nice, however I felt that accelerator was "stiff", and I felt I had to press quite heavily to get the truck to move. I was concerned about making "jack-rabbit" starts. This was more effort than other trucks I have driven.Peter V.

The customer service experience was horrible. They didn't explain anything well. The owner made it seem as if this was a staffed, physical location and that he would meet me there the morning of my rental. The morning of, I called and said I was a few minutes away and that he should leave to meet me there. He just kept repeating, "call me when you get there". Literally that's all he kept saying. I wish they just accurately presented it as a remote location with lock box set ups. They could have said, "Call me when you get there. I'll give you a code for the lock box." Horrible communication. There was no dolly or blankets in the truck, no ramp and they didn't go over that when I rented it nor present a menu of options that might include that. They asked me to call when I brought it back. I did, and left a message. They called me the next day asking if I dropped it off. I mean c'mon check your messages. If you don't want to be bothered on a Sunday don't bother me.preston G.
Really poor customer service Then i was told one price when i booked the uhaul on the phone and when i picked up the truck the price went up another $20 Not. To mention it took forever for me to even get the key for the truck Worst experience ive ever hadDarrelle B.

I dont like to leave bad reviews at all. But my truck was dirty. And i can't believe 200 miles after fee's and taxes cost 300 bucks. And another 95 bucks in gas. 400 bucks is alot of money. Also nothing in the back to tie down to. The railings are cheap and you cant strap to.Douglas B.

Rented from other locations trucks were safe the truck I got from this dealer truck shouldn't be on the road. I couldn't go over 55 mph the whole truck shakes sounded like was going to shakes apart. The trip from Sparta nj to clover sc should have taken 9 hrs with this truck it took close to 12 hrs. Truck was unsafe lucky I'm still alive . I spent a lot of money for a unsafe truck I should pulled into a stat inspection check. Maybe U-Haul could refund me a some kind of refund, Feel free to call me.Aram B.

Half -way through trip the truck shook and said the Stabilitrack needed service. The ABS and traction dummy light was lit on the dashboard and remained on until I stopped to fill tankBill D.

Provide instructions for where to park personal vehicle when picking up rental. Also, WIFI connection is awful in this area. It took me an extra half hour to return the vehicle because the website wouldn't load in time and UHAUL kept kicking me back out. FRUSTRATINGTERESAE S.
I had a very positive experience renting a cargo van for the day from John's Automotive. The entire process was hassle free. John kindly walked me through the check in process. I would definitely use John's for future moves and would comfortably recommend it to others.Jane L.

Have the truck reserved available. I reserved a 20' and a message was left the night before, which I never heard, only a 15' was available. We could not move everything as planned and now we have to buy new because of your mistake. I should have been notified earlier. The representative I spoke to a day or two after I made reservation said I would be called the Friday before if there was an issue. I am very disappointed and thought using a big company, there should be no inventory issues.Jon R.

This location isn't "John's Automotive Repair". It's a KARATE DOJO/FLORIST! You're being duped, UHaul. The real John's is 4 miles down the road. Considering we were confused on how a 15" foot truck only had 12 1/2" feet of space (your "Mom's Attic" does not count to that 15', very deceptive and we barely got everything we needed to in the truck), we had no one to talk to because the "contactless" pick up is horrible. Not to mention this wasn't even remotely close to our "preferred" pick up location, which I assume preferred is just to make people feel better and you guys just pick whatever location benefits you best. After being on hold for 15 minutes, we finally straightened it out but just an awful experience. I will never use UHaul again. Completely horrible.David W.

The only issue was that it was not manned, only a drop off location. The location did not have the name of the center on it. Made it a bit confusingl, but a nice location, easy on, easy off. Big U-haul sign and key drop off.Nathalie R.
