We had a severe problem during our moving since we had to keep all furniture in the truck for a night and UHAL did not let us book the truck for more than one night, even though we approached them very early. I hope you can find a solution for people like us who need a truck for more than a night during the end of August and at the beginning of September.Mohammad A.
The safety chain hooks were too small for my vehicle's yoke. The UHaul rep and myself had to spend some time to come up with a work around, where we managed to pass the chain through the yoke and back onto itself. The yoke on my Honda Pilot is not excessively thick, in fact a F-150 also there, appeared to have the same thickness. This cannot be a new problem, dealers should be informed of a solution.Graeme W.

The staff member named Cole was outstanding. Our trailer did not arrive back on time from the previous renter and it caused a lot of problems for us as we had a 4 hour drive ahead of us . Cole was calm, professional, efficient. His communication skills were outstanding and he was empathic to our situation. 10/10 for Cole and I will rent from this location again. Thank youMarian F.

Person I dealt with was grumpy and rude. Not very helpful (maybe he realized I knew more then him). Equipment wasn't in great condition ie. straps frayed. Not awful but I've rented many many uhauls over the years and this was my least favourite experienceAlex C.

When somebody rents equipment, make sure it's available first. Specify the location the equipment is if it isn't at that location, before the user hangs up, or you take the money!Stephen W.

Location just fine, but my original reservation was for an earlier pickup time at a different location. The auto-carrier I reserved was replaced by a car dolly the day before scheduled pickup even though I had the reservation weeks in advance. An auto-carrier was found but pickup was delayed from 10am to 4pm and location was changed. The email I received did not indicate the correct pickup location. Overall, not my best uHaul experience.Mike H.

The customer service was horrible. Arrived early because of poor information on site operating hours and the owner ignored we were there waiting/early. Then didn't open on time, like she didn't even care. The poor employee who had to assist didn't have a working printer, or even my entire reservation available. I made the reservation in April for June and you would think if moving blankets were reserved they would have them set aside, but no they didn't! The employee was very apologetic, however it was not him I was frustrated with it was the owner who pretended like we weren't even there! The resting â€œB*â€¢ch face was apparent and has made me decide to never do business with this location ever again whether it be with U-Haul or their other business.Catharine D.

Not completely clean on the inside. Some dirt and debris. e.g. found two screws in the trailer. Would prefer if you could still do a one day rental. Somewhat ridiculous that I was made to rent of two days at twice the price.David K.

No issue with this location. I was very disappointed with the uhaul reservation system. My equipment rental was changed by uhaul 3 times during the week and the final option worked but was not very customer friendly. It was not a very positive experience as a customer.Stephen L.

By the time we drove the truck to our house (5 mins away) one of the tires was flat. We had to wait 5 hours before someone was able to come fix it which severely impacted our travel/moving plans. U-haul did offer us a partial refund which slightly made up for the time we lost but more could've been done to prevent this from happening in the first place.Jeff T.

The truck was locked with a padlock that needed a password. We were not advised on pick up and we called starting at 9:00 am on moving day. Aqua Bay location only opens at 10:00 so we called the other location and they didn't know the password. My husband then drove the truck to that location and they tried several passwords to no avail and eventually had to cut it off and it had to be done with a file. Are trucks not checked as they are returned? We had a very rough start to our moving day and we were on the clock so I don't understand why anyone didn't offer a discount or something?Suzanne A.

Although I greatly prefer a U-Haul-branded location, the staff there were very friendly and helpful. Although the trucks are in good working order and clean, their debit machine was non-functional. The admitted to me that it has been down for months, and despite numerous requests from them for it to be replaced, corporate has not sent a replacement. Please do so... your satellite branches like this deserve better.Peter M.

I am writing this letter with utter disappointment with the service of uhaul. I had made a reservation for a 20 foot truck on Nov 21. I ordered to pick the truck from 2459 Princess Street, Kingston. When I went to this location, the representative told me that the booking is made at Aqua Bay location in Kingston and they do not have a 20 ft truck. I then went to Aqua bay location. When I went there that guy said the booking is made in the other location and they do not have a 20 foot truck ready. After few conversations with the uhaul representative, he provided me with a 26 foot truck. Since we didn't have any other options we were left with this truck. uhaul website clearly says if a reservation is made and the customer is not able to get the reserved truck he will be paid 50 dollars by uhaul for that. Initially I ordered for a utility dolly and had to cancel that order since the uhaul representative said one utility dolly will be there in the truck. When I took the truck to home I found out that the dolly was not present in the truck. I had to go back and the uhaul representative said they don't have any utility dolly and provided me with an appliance dolly. After all these horrible incidents I was charged with over mileage. Over mileage was caused because of uhaul since I had to travel more to get the truck. I had filled extra gas in the truck (extra dollars) and at the end I was charged with cleaning fee. Is this something you charge against every customer. I am sure the truck was the same way I had received in the morning. These experiences made me feel very bad about uhaul and will never opt for one in the future.Ritwik C.

The uhaul online system is total mess and the location has its own rules. I booked uhaul online for 7:30 am to pick up the truck using 24/7 share online system but on the day of moving. The system didn't allow me to pick up the truck until 9:00 am and guess what I book the elevator for 9:00 am and my entire moving day got messed up because of uhaul failed online system. Please DO NO RELY ON UHAUL ONLINE 24/7 system either overbooks you or they have no information of their locations. Terrible experience of my life in moving. I would never again use uhaul! Bye bye . Btw the agents and people at uhaul location on princess street Kingston opposite to Costco main Kingston location are rude and unprofessional. 0 customer service.Said zameer Q.

The attendant had some difficulty installing safety chains. The vehicle is a 2020 Toyota RAV4 with OEM hitch... but the hooks and chains would not fit through the safety chain loop. You need to update your equipment to fit properly, or provide options to accommodate.John P.

I originally reserved from amherstview Storage but Uhaul phoned and said I had to pick up in Kingston. I had to drive by my first choice to go to Kingston and there was the truck I reserved and still there when I returned my truck to Kingston. I also had agreement for 19.95 and was charged 29.95 and extra mileage as Kingston is farther. ???MARGARET M.

Make sure associate checking return does job accurately. I drove 24 miles put $15 gas in to bring up, when returned told $16 surcharge to bring gas to correct level, said no way, all that gas for 24 miles, even my $15 was absorbent. Rechecked and guy who read level did let it finish.Doug S.
