The U-Haul I rented was horrible and scary to drive. It was filthy and stinky and when I drove it, it made the loudest roar ever I could literally only drive 20 miles an hour I don't understand why it was even rented out to anyone. I took it because I had to do what I had to do but my experience was horrible. The location was good I feel bad that I even have to make a bad review because it had nothing to do when them but the U-Haul was horrible.Anahi G.

You charged me .89 cents a mile along with me going beyond the gasoline that was there when I received it. I filled it up beyond the 3/4 of the tank I used. Ridiculous. I should have received a discount off of the price for filling the damn thing up. Once again. You figured out a way to rip off the consumer.Cheryl R.

The location was excellent due to location being 2 miles from where I was moving from and 2 miles from storage. Ark food station was very poor, 1st time I went there the young lady was very ruid, with 4 other youngsters behind the counter with her. No one was able to help me, they directed me down the street. The store down the street directed me to reserve on line. That store didn't have my size, Ark did so I scheduled pick up there. 2nd time there, March 21,2020 @ 11:32 am for 12:00pm scheduled pick up. The young man behind the counter, when I told him I had a scheduled u-haul pick up there. He told me he didn't know anything about the u-haul, go down the street they can help. I explained to him I already went though that yesterday, the scheduled pick up is this location! He called for assistant's. It was time consuming but she help me .Joy C.

To be able to have someone at this location answer the phone, and be trained to complete a contract. Waited almost to hours for the manager of this location. Also to provided complete information regarding where to drop off and the times of operation. We had to do an online drop ourselves because no one was open until Monday which would have added another days rate.JOHN K.

The vehicle did not have side mirrors and was very very difficult to drive. It was very dirty on the inside when we picked it up. Also, the location was very difficult to do business with and not very informative and would not give me a receipt. I will NOT USE THIS LOCATION EVER AGAIN.Carol B.

I received two different address for pickup. A sketchy convenience store in a rough part of Pasadena is not an acceptable place to a lone woman to pick up a Uhaul. Bars over all the windows and doors and the woman behind the counter did not ask for my ID or do an inspection of the trailer or hitch before hitching it up. Also the trailer was full of roaches! Absolutely crawling with them and then crawling over my furniture and boxes because there was no way to get a replacement trailer. I received $20 back on my rental when I complained in at my drop off location, but that's really unacceptable.Amelia H.

The lady checking me in went ABOVE and beyond to help me. I had to call the conroe area to find the needed information the lady that answered gave me a number but refused to help me. Thankfully I reached the reagional office and the lady that helped me was wonderful. My over all experience was horriblevictor A.

The uhaul was not ready at the location on Beamer. Did not get a call to let me know ahead of times send me to another location that was not close to where we were taking our stuff. Lady on the phone in Beamer was contradicting saying she was giving me a discount on Milage and on the down grade on size but only got one discount on down grade. I felt I should of got a discount on the milage difference from the location. Very disappointed. We are a military family and never had issues until today. Was not happy how the situation was taken care of. Will probably no longer use this company to move again.Jaime jr V.
Location was in a bad part of town. Truck was parked on dirt and sinking in mud trying to drive out of the parking lot. Worker answers the phone with "hello", not even with the name of the business. I shouldn't have to ask who I'm calling ...not professional at all.Tiffany B.

I told the guy my order was for a 15 foot truck. The truck was small it don't look like a 15 foot. He told me I would only be charge for a10 foot but I wasn't he still charged me for a 15.He didn't tell me about the truck until after I paid. The truck drove very poorly wheel shook very badly... The truck was so dirty, bird poop, you could not see out of the front windshield. The cab smelled like trash had been left inside for weeks. Spoke with the lady inside and she offered no help. No other trucks available. 1st went to location on Red Bluff, my preferred location, numerous trucks outside but was told I had to go to Shaver location. Once at the Shaver location, I asked if they had supplies and they said no then had to find another Uhaul location because there was no way I would go back to the Red Bluff location. The lady, who's name tag said owner, was so rude that I will never go into that location again.Connie A.

They were closed at our scheduled pick up time had to wait outside for them to open. He did not do a walk around with us on the truck. The receipt he gave us was not ledgible. There was still paperwork from previous driver in truck. And it had dry mud inside..Martha H.

Very poor service, it took over and hour and at least 8 attempts for employees to fill out the online information. The tank of gas was suppose to have 1/4 in it and it was empty with the gas light on. The truck was dirty with a bag of chips on the dash, muddy floor boards and the back had 2 blankets and rope scattered in the back. The employees wanted me to take it as is and they wouldn't charge me for the "dirty mess or gas" and I did not agree. Eventually he did drive it to put 1/4 of gas in it. It took around 1 and 1/2 hrs once I got there to finish which really shortened my moving day. Disappointed and would highly recommend a different location!Heather P.

When I reserved the car hauler I told them we would pick it up before 6 pm. I got there at 4:30 pm and was told the rental was not for 24 hours because I picked it up before 6PM and if I did not return it before 2AM then I would be charged another days rental. I had to call five diffrentime with u-haul because my pick up, size of truck kept being wrong. When I got to the pick up location no truck so again I call uhaul . They wanted me to go 16 miles for a truck. But thank you to Ark food station . I came back with in an hour they had a truck. They were very helpful. Reservation was made for 8, when I showed up at 8 I was told the right guy wasn't there yet, and to come back at 9. After postponing all my moving help, I returned to the location at 9, to find the right guy still wasn't there. The man there tried to process the rental, attempted to overcharge me, then lied to me that it was a deposit, then tried to tell me my card wouldn't go through. Finally the other guy got there and everything was processed and I was on the road within 10 minutes, but by then it was 10:30, 2.5 hours after my pickup reservation. Will never use this location again, too unreliable.Matthew S.

Here's the thing. I got a reservation confirmation for one site. When I arrived they said they had no out-of-town trucks available. They said to go to the UHaul "around the corner" which proved to be three miles away. The above site was a part time UHaul/grocery/bong store. The attendant had difficulty processing my information, all of which had to be re-entered despite my reservation. 30 min later. They did not have blankets so I had to go to the first place to pick them up. Get rid of that "comfortable ride" slogan. After two plus hours of driving, I could hardly walk as my back and legs were aflame. Loading and unloading was easy. When I went to return the truck the store was closed (I was 30 min late). I called UHAUL help on the contract number and got a scratchy voice breaking up rendering the conversation untenable. I called again and got a lady who seemed to want to help but when she transferred to "traffic" the call terminated. The third lady resolved my problem in short order. I reserved the truck, appliance dolly, and pads more than a week in advance. Appliance dolly was locked in some room in the back that girl could not get to. She called someone to come unlock and after waiting 30 minutes, I found one in the back of another truck and took it. Truck was supposed to be ready at noon. We got there at 1:30 pm, so they had plenty of time to get it ready.Michael S.

This location is a dump. The young man behind the convenience store counter was barely able to handle the reservation process. In the middle of this effort he could not print out the contract because he had no paper. He said he would go get some. I went to the restroom and when I came out the exterior door to exit the building was locked from the outside (life safety issue - against building fire code). I was effectively trapped inside the building. He came back , unlocked the door and came inside. He printed the contract and I signed it. I asked him if he was going to help me hitch the trailer to my truck but he had another customer in the store. When they left he came outside. He had no idea how to hitch the trailer, where to connect the chains, how to shorten them, how to connect the lights so I did all those things and he went back inside. I had to go back in and get him to come out and verify the lights were working properly. He seemed confused about what we were doing but after turning the blinkers on and asking him several times he got it. Bottom line - I have rented from U-Haul numerous times and I have never encountered such an incompetent set up. If I had never hooked up a trailer this could have been catastrophic by not getting the hitch seated properly and tightened on the ball. Serious liability issue. Pick up your equipment at another location for your own safety.WILLIAM K.

Uhaul trailer it's self was nice, was given wrong dolly with frayed strap, worker did not know how to hoom up trailer or lights. My husband had to show him how it was done.Monica S.

I would make sure all the equipment that was required was available for use. I did not have a drop gate to slide my belongings onto the truck and was forced to lift everything. The exorbitant wait time to retrieve my uhaul could be improved and the service rep could be more comptetent. He didnt get my drop off location right or ever spell my name correctly after I had even written it down for him. In short, not everyone is mentally equipped to run a uhaul rental.ELISE H.
