The U-Haul trailer was not properly attached to our truck and came unattached after going over a bridge. We barely avoided an accident as we were driving on the highway at the time. It was a miracle that no one was hurt and there was no major damage done. Employees need to be trained better. When we informed employees of the incident, no acknowledgement was given and no apology for the incident. Very poor customer service.Jerry T.

make sure closed trailers do not leak. Part of trip was through rain for a couple of hours and upon arrival at end location we had rain damage to personal items. A proper inspection would have identified this problem.LonnieR S.

The pick up location was ok. I was very dissatisfied with U-haul as a company. I had called and reserved a truck to pick up in Ottawa, Ks 2/21/2020. I received a message on 2/27/2020 that the truck I had reserved was not available to call and make other arrangements. I was told that there were no trucks available in Ottawa, Ks that I would need to pick up one in Baldwin, Kansas. (Baldwin is 20 miles out of the way of the move) This was an extra burden as the charge of $1.09 per mile and filling up with gas would add another $50 to the amount needed for rental. We had to get the truck as move was already planned and help arranged and needing to be out of apartment by 2/29/2020. Also as we were driving through Ottawa to go to Baldwin to pick up and drop off truck there was 2 U-haul trucks parked with rental signs in the window. WE WILL NOT USE U-HAUL AGAIN AND WILL TELL FRIENDS AND FAMILY THE SAME!!!deborah G.

I am disabled and have waited 6 years until I could afford to make this move of my belongings from storage in Ottawa, Ks to Rogers, Arkansas. I made reservations for a truck, dolly, boxes and tape well in advance. I also hired movers at both ends to load and unload the truck. I was informed late in the week that I would need to pick up the truck at another location where I was not familiar. the service was poor, they had no boxes or tape, which caused me to leave many things behind in Ottawa. Also, because I was much later in picking up the truck, my laborers charged me double time and some left before I arrived at the storage unit. I was forced to participate in the lifting and I am now injured and unable to go to my part-time job. Therefore, I will postpone further actions until Friday, November 29. 2019 in order for you to make meaningful response to this notice.michael S.

Do a better job getting equipment to location closer to customer. We had to drive 40 miles to return our trailer when we had reserved the same one week in advance at Ottawa which was only 20 miles from our locationrandy W.

The equipment was clean, service was very good, but the suspension or something on the truck we were given was beyond horrible. We literally felt like our brains were bouncing around in our heads. Horrible heavy aches and body aches now. At one point I was literally trying to hold my head still. We have rented many usuals, especially this year, and this was beyond the worst truck we have ever been assigned. Sadly, it looked like a fairly new truck, but it didn't ride like a new one, far from it. I have already called customer service and voiced our concerns. This truck shouldn't be on the road. The location was fine, just NOT the truck.Steven B.
