Christine JohnsonWhile Aubuchon Hardware did a great job, dealing with U Haul was terrible. The U Haul app and website were both very "glitchy", and as usual I got a late night call the day before saying I would have to pick up my truck at another site 30-40 miles away. This has occurred every time I tried to rent from U-Haul. Fortunately, the folks at Aubuchon had told me to ignore the call from U Haul, and so I had a fairly good experience.
John Grubethey made me pick it up in the location which was over an hour away. When the local U-Haul have the same trailers I would never use them again.

Not to mention I reserved a truck in Bennington VT and had to drive over an hour to pick up truck in Shelbourne Falls MA, 45 miles away. Not cool when gas is $5 a gallon for a truck that gets 8 mpg. Was told to get credit for pads from drop off location. Drop off said originator needed to issue credit for pads, Ended up filing a dispute through my credit card company. Cluster

Charles FreitagThey gave us a very good tip for if the trailer starts to sway! It was very helpful with our travel! I want to add that LaRochelle Auto, Middlefield Rd, Hinsdale MA gave EXCELLENT customer service. They were closed on Monday, September 6, 2021, they gave us a $50.00 refund! So we were moved to this location. Originally we booked this for West Housatonic St., Pittsfield MA. The day before I am told it was moved to LaRochelle, and then to Aubuchon, which was an hour away from our home. I was extremely unhappy with U-haul the company. I had booked this rental months in advance at the Pittsfield location, but it is not held. U-haul apparently calls the night before if it is one way travel. That's ridiculous. What is the point in picking a location, if U-haul doesn't handle this until the night before! I had called U-haul in Pittsfield and they said we haven't had a 12' trailer in a week. Poor customer service. The locations were very helpful. U-haul needs to address this issue
John AricoService WAS excellent but was disappointed when I went to return the vehicle and was hit with an additional $60 charge that was not explained to me when picking up and making my reservation. The truck was clean to the touch, but smelled heavily of cigarette smoke covered by some air freshener. While unloading we discovered that there was water in the "mom's attic" portion of the truck, well away from where the door opens and water drippage would be expected.
Shane LashwayThe location was 40 minutes out of the way of our requested pickup location. They also were not able to supply either of the dollies we requested or a full dozen blankets. All of those materials were paid for up-front.

James PicardiI believe they read the fuel Gauge wrong as I literally added fuel 2miles down the road to bring it up to the right level & I still got charged $22!!! I couldn’t protest cuz there e-mail comes from a “noreplyuhaul...” address.
Dennis CarpenterNothing for this location, but fix the computer program so the vehicle can be delivered at a closer u-haul location. I was scheduled to return the vehicle to Woodside, NY, even though they tried to allow me to return it to Flushing, NY. I called U-Haul about this, waited a long time to be told to call the scheduling department. I called and waited a long time for this as well. The scheduling department allowed me to return the vehicle to the Flushing, NY location.
David AndersonIt is ridiculous to allow us to rent our truck in Turners Falls- but to return it we had to drive 35 minutes out of our way. On top of that I was charged gas that was wasted driving so far to return the truck. Poop customer service and poor return options.
