U-haul was not ready for pick up. Had to wait 3 hours and pay my movers for their time. U haul also had door jam fitting falling off. I tripped over it twice getting out of the truck. I am extremely unhappy. The person that helped was friendly and explained the situation that another customer was late dropping off the U-haul. But I should have been given a discount for the trouble and he was unable to provide that.Brandi W.
Truck was filthy & smelled like cigarette smoke. The pick up location would not offer me another truck. The employees were rude & unhelpful in regards to my concerns. As a result I had to drive. 8 hours in a filthy truck that reeked of cigarets, with a baby in order do make my moving deadline.MAYA C.

Checking in after hours it felt a little sketchy, but the instructions on line and taking pictures made it a little better. The drop box was clearly marked (thank you), but they have what looked like 2 parking lots and there was some confusion. More signage and a paving job would help a lot.Denice H.

My recommendation would be to not cancel the reservation I had at 8pm the night before I was to pick up a truck for a cross country home move. However after 1.5 hours on hold and phone transfers I finally spoke to a manager that found us a truck that was only a couple hours out of our way.MARTI S.

It was nice to have another location with more trucks. The truck was fine and ran well but had a bit of a smoke smell. I let them know when I returned it. Also, the key was hard to remove and I let them know. Otherwise the truck was clean and in good shape. It was ready when I arrived and it only took a few minutes to complete the paperwork.teresa E.

Extremely out of the way, it tact on literally 2.5 hours of trust driving to pick up a moving truck and the truck was not the one I reserved. It was a smaller one and I wasn't able to put all of my property in the truck to make my move which is 4 hours away . And so now I have to pay another month rents on my storage and take time off of work and make arrangements to come back and rent another truck and pay for all of that.. worst experience ever with such a minimal task... and uhauls excuse was that all of our trucks are out of state .. not my problem... get it together... moving is already a headache please don't add to it..Mike C.

Personnel were not practicing any Covid 19 protocols: no masks and no social distancing and zero acknowledgment after I expressed my discomfort. After I had been assured that my online registration was complete on two previous occasions I was still required to complete additional registration inside which is what I was trying to avoid. Lastly, the truck only had a 1/4 tank of gas upon pick-up. The truck was clean but the back door was extremely difficult to open and the key was hard to get out of the ignition. I've moved so many times and have never been disappointed in a truck rental. I would not recommend this pick-up site - I would rather drive further to get better customer service.KATIE D.

I had to dead head 2.5 hours just to pick the truck up and then dead head back to the location I was loading it up. I hired people to assist my move to begin at 10:00 am and because of the lost of time, the added gas expense I lost approximately 6 hours that could have been more productive had the truck been located near my original request. Because of the 6 hours lost I was not able to completely vacate my storage lockers and incurred another months rental exceeding $250.00 that I was hoping to avoid. Now I have to return to CA and rent another truck and drive 9 hours that would be unnecessary if the rental truck was in a location that wasn't 2-3 hours away.Terry L.
The truck cost $100 more than we were quoted on the phone with the 1-800-go Uhaul! He refused to give us the discount for dropping off the truck in Yuba City that we were promised on the phone as well! Not happy with that at all! We were in a hurry to get started with the move, or we would have walked out and rented somewhere else!Carol C.

All of my belongings stink like Marijuana! The entire back of the truck smelled of marijuana, the cab of the truck smelled like burnt marijuana! Worst 400 mile drive I've made! Not to mention I had to drive 80 miles out of my way to pick up the truck! Bullshit!!!!Manford J.

The truck cab was dirty cigarette ashes and mud all over the floor cup holders had cigarette ashes spilled soda sticky stuff. The back of the truck looked like they just transported marijuana plants and the rental place didn't cleaned it.Constantin L.
The Uhaul representative put in the Wrong destination address and he refused to change it because he said it would take a hour to do it again... That costs me more money because he didn't allow me enough miles to get to my destination and return the truck to uhaul without an 42 extra miles that I had to pay for which was very unprofessional... Sadly I'm not finished moving and I Will still need at least two more truck rentals to complete my move...however because of my experience I doubt that I will use Uhaul again,unless they decide to reimburse me.DEBORAH S.

The location for the designated drop off was not open and we were unable to contact them by phone (no answer). Uhaul call centers were not helpful at all and kept us on hold forever! We finally contacted Auburn Tire Center and they were able to help us and let us drop the trailer off at their location without incident...very courteous and helpful. VERY DISSATISFIED WITH UHAUL, AGAIN!!!Debra A.

The fuel said it was a 1/4 tank when i left but less then 2 blocks it droped to empty and fuel lite came on. I had to $80 of fuel just to use it and then return it with a 1/ 4 of fuel that i did not even use.Adam S.

The proprietor showed up 15-20 minutes late! Very disappointing when your day is tight with moving. Online program not great to reserve. Although I didn't confirm my first reservation I ended up with two. The auto selection of â€œ1â€ on equipment is annoying and manipulative on your part. Make me select what I want, not deselect what I don't! Although I called to cancel one of the reservations, the wrong one was cancelled.Helen C.

I really would not go to this location again. The UHaul was still dirty from the previous renters - or maybe the owner, I'm not sure. Popcorn was all over the floor of the vehicle, the steering wheel was sticky. The location was terrible, it's hard to access and it's on such a steep incline, I was NOT comfortable driving a UHaul in that parking lot. The owner was polite but wasn't very communicative when it came to pricing over the phone and would not let me pay alternative ways other than my card. When I told him I might not have enough money on my card, he charged it anyways and refused to take cash. He lied about the gas being under and I was very upset. I feel like he took advantage of me because I'm from out of state (SC renting in CA) and because I'm a woman. I will NOT be going back to this location. Ever.Janae T.

Should have been made aware that a 2" ball and 4 prong connection is needed. I and most people I know have 2 1/2 inch ball to tow with. I had to drive over 3 miles away from pick up spot to buy a 2 inch ball for $20 the person working did install the new ball.GARY W.
