I was shocked that U-Haul charges the daily rate, plus mieage, plus gas. Instead of charging for all three, just charge for either mileage OR gas. Then, if you have to, up the daily rate a little so people know at the beginning how much to expect. With tax and insurance, my $19.95 rental ended up at about $68.
