OK OWe where suppose to pick up at a location in Ringgold, Louisiana. The place is called Sweet Treats and Grilled Meats. I told someone from customer service days prior that this location is not reliable but they said they could not switch pick up. That morning the truck and trailer where at the location but no one there to get the key from or fill out paper work. It was a huge inconvenience. I called customer service that morning at 10:30 with pick up suppose to be 8. They had the place Audio Concepts bring me a truck and trailer. This gentelmen was a huge help and did a great job. This made us get the truck at 1:30 but he was kind a delivered it to the house.
Daniel SI made the reservation online which I was hoping would be an easy process but it would not allow me to pay online, it just was the option to put a card on file. After I made the reservation, I called the California Avenue location at 10 am, the advertised opening time online, just to make sure they had the reservation and the trailer since we were driving 3 hours to rent this trailer. I kept calling and calling but no one ever answered. After about 10 minutes, I stopped and then about 11 I called again. This time a guy answered and said yes he has the reservation and the trailer. I called the California Avenue location again a little after 1 and spoke with the same guy to let him know that we were running late and he said he will be there until 2. Not once in either phone call did he say I called the wrong location. When I arrived to the U haul place about 120, on California Avenue, I was told that I was at the incorrect location, I should have gone to the Service Road location. Why did he not tell me this when I we spoke on the phone either time? When I went to the Service Road location, the door was locked, the "Open" sign was off and there was another renter was hanging around outside. He said that no one was there and he had been waiting for a bit to get his reserved truck. I called the guy back at the California location who called another person to figure out where the employee was of this location but he couldn't figure out so he told me to come back and he will get me one that he had. I went back to the California Avenue location and arrived about 1:40. Once I arrived at the California location, it was an additional 35 minutes that we had to hang around since the computer system was down and a payment needed to be made since it wasn't made up front at the time the trailer was reserved. Again it was because it was not an option that the site gave. Finally, the system was back up and he was able to charge $82.14. During this time of hanging out the guy seemed a bit friendlier than on the phone but I think it is because he felt bad for us waiting around. I asked how to get the trailer on the hitch and he said that we would have to lift it up. When I asked if he did that he was not excited about helping but did it since he was closed anyway. I am not sure what the expectation is for this since this is the first time but shouldnt this be part of the process? The Service Road location was a little more spacious. The California Road location needs a lot of help. The very small parking lot is full of potholes, the inside didn't have the lights on for some reason and it looked like it was ransacked and in desperate need of a good cleaning, organization and help. This is my first experience with renting a trailer from U haul and I was pretty disappointed to see that this is what can be expected from a national company. OK OPerson running this rental location was exceptional and very helpful. The vehicle was large enough but not too large. I will return to this location when I need help again. Wish all location were this good as this location stands out among them all.
Billy CI arrived at 4:30 and was told by the employee on duty that I needed to hurry because they closed in 10 minutes. The entire experience was very uncomfortable. He selected a random drop off point with no input from me and left before we finished the equipment review

LISO CHad agreed to drop off truck near my home but they changed the location to be about 20 miles from home causing me to pay extra miles. Also, no one was at the drop off location even thought talked to someone over the phone. Parking lot has a huge hole with water in it - with very little parking.

BRIAN ATruck was not where the gas level says in contract , we had to compensate for that , truck was dirty , not even checked in before being rented back out. We normally use dudgemona , which is an AMAZING experience , this place is beyond unprofessional . There was unmarked damage we also took picture of before even leaving the lot . Charging us for gas is actually absurd , considering we had to put $80 in gas just to fill it up , and it wouldn't have taken as much if it was where it should of been. It had a pull to the right the whole trip , so apparently these trucks aren't even maintenanced as they should be .

Alicia TI hope a genuine U-Haul employee can take care of their customer and the company. I had a truck reservation on 12-13-2025 at 10:00 am. When I arrived at my location, 817 W California Ave, I saw a U-Haul staff member in his truck. He tried to get my confirmation through his computer in his truck. Why did he not use the computer in the store? He then told me that the website of U-Haul is down and he can do nothing to help me. He just enjoyed his breakfast in the truck. I am not jealous of his breakfast because I also have two moving helpers on the way. If I cannot get the truck on time, then the moves will have to waste their time. He did not even tell me to download a U-Haul app to check in. I never used a U-Haul app that could help me check it, so I did not know it. Because he was playing very lousy music, I had to go back to my car across the street to make a call (I cannot park my car in their store, and the reason is by the end). I called the number from my U-Haul account, and an assistant helped me make an online check-in. It is a very arduous procedure since the U-Haul website would have to access my location, and my Chrome denied it. I did not know how to grant permission for my location on my iPhone. The assistant also tried to help me from their end. I had a feeling that I could not make it, and the movers had to cancel their trip. The first assistant suddenly hung up my call after 16 minutes, since all that she told me was futile. Then, I called again, and a 2nd assistant helped me. He told me to install a U-Haul app and do it again. After installing the U-Haul app, sending photos of my driver’s license and my headshot, I was almost at the step of clicking the button “I have the key.” Then, you know what, the same U-Haul staff member, who should be in the store, drove his truck away. Where is he? It is past 10:00 am, and store should be open. He should be in the store. I then called U-hall customer service 3rd time and asked them to call the staff to drive back. About 10 mins later, he drove back. I showed him my app screenshot, and he gave me the key to the truck. When I arrived at my house with the truck, the movers were waiting for me. When I returned the truck, it was a different staff member. I did not see the first staff member. All of this can be avoided if the staff member knows the business well. He just did not. Prudence, indeed, tells me that I should never complain about anything on a website since I know it will have bad effects on a business, and I also do not want to get into trouble. If I do not have good experience from a business, it could be my fault. I will always try that business again, and most of the time, the 2nd time will be a great time. However, I really thought this U-Haul location could do a lot to improve its service. The location, 817 W California Ave, looks very disorganized. Please take a look. There are no lines for vehicles to park. A big hole is in the parking lot, which almost creates a pond. They play very loud music, which I personally do not like. I really hope something can be done to improve the service at this location. I like the U-Haul service since I used it many times in Arizona, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. I never had a bad experience with it, but why is this time so different?

Daniel CThe uhaul website let me make a reservation at Party Galaxy which is several miles north of my house. When I arrived at my scheduled time of 12:30, they were closed. Apparently they don't open on Saturdays at all. After waiting an hour and calling their number, I finally found a number for Uhaul. When I called they acknowledged the error and rescheduled me to Audio Concepts which is several miles south of my house. I appreciate the effort to find a trailer for me to rent; however, the website should be changed as this cost me 2 hours of my time and miles to react to the mistake. When I asked the UHaul rep on the phone how this happened they were unable to give a response. I will add that UHaul is my first call for renting trailers and this is the first issue I have ever had but one that should have been avoidable.
Michael NStaff was very rude and disrespectful to my brother at the time of drop off. I've heard several bad things about the staff there and now I see why. I will make sure if I have to ever drop off again in the Ruston area it want be at that location.

Tim THelp the owner fix his flooding issue and give him guidance on how to maintain his equipment. The truck he gave me wasn’t clean at all. Their were jackets and trash left inside of the cabin. I tried to upload pictures of the inside and outside of the truck but the link wouldn’t upload the required documents. I tried to contact the owner and customer service about the issue and I was told the system was down. The owner is a nice guy but he’s dealing with some health issues right now which may be affecting his ability to maintain his business.

DAVID YFor some reason my reservation was moved to this location. The pick up time was moved to 4:30 pm but even the rental location said that they did not know why they said 4:30 pm since they close at 2 pm and had I not show up by 2 I would have not been able to pick up the trailer. This is the kind of thing that could have led to a disaster since they would have been closed the next two days.

BRICE KUnfortunately, this location had one person working. He was the least helpful. The worker at the location was upset that he could not leave an hour early. He told me he could care less what my contract said about helping me with unhooking the car transport trailer. His attitude from the beginning to end was sour. He helped with removing the strap that went around the tires; the rest of the chains, etc. I did my self. He did assist me in backing the vehicle transport trailer. I paid to get help, but did not receive much. The parking lot had so many large pot holes I had to be extra careful in maneuvering the Uhaul truck and parking. This location looks like a junk yard for cars. I would not recommend this site, but in a small town one does not have many choices if any.

Jeremy MThe truck was filthy, cab and inside the box. The green bag was empty and opened. The check engine light was on. This location smells horrible and the guys there are more worried about being on their phones and cleaning cars.
