This location was great. The staff was very helpful. My experience with u-haul however has been nothing but difficult. Everyone I spoke too at h-haul has been very polite and helpful, however u-haul policy is absolutely terrible and only considering it's own bottom line. No consideration for it's customers. After making a reservation for a trailer 6 hours from my home and spending 6 hours on the road I was disappointed to find the trailer not in working order leaving me hanging. I spent 300$ in gas and spend 12 hours total for no reason just cause I wanted to use u-haul as a service. On top of that I still had to do the trip again to pick up the car I had in storage. On my second attempt to use one of your trailers I arrive at the pick up location to find the trailer again not in working order. U-haul sends me 30 minutes in the wrong direction to pick another one up. Finally at palmer rapids they had a working trailer and the staff was on the ball. U-haul gave me 50$ to compensate my loosing 300$ in gas and 12 hours of time plus milage on my vehicle and not to forget I still had to reschedule the trip a second time. Absolutely ridiculous and disrespectful to your customer. On top of that I couldn't even get a call back after making a complaint. I will go to social media to share my terrible experience. Other people should know to be cautious when planing around u-haul as a service. The people I spoke with have all been extremely polite and I sympathetic. However u-haul as a company and it's "policies" is a complete sham.

Everything went smoothly for us. Will use this location again for future needs. So close to pick up and return. Would recommend this location to others. Convenient location for our remote area! Thank-you.

You can get rid of your Barry's Bay U haul depot, it is definitly not doing you any favors

I was less than happy that I had to change my drop off point at the last minute. It wound up putting an extra hundred kilometres onto my trip. And sent me in the wrong direction. When I was initially asked where to drop off I picked my preferred spot. When I got to my preferred spot only then did I find out that an email had changed me to an entirely different location nearly 70 km away. After talking to the representative on the phone, I was less than pleased with the response I was given. No other options were offered. Other than to extend my rental by one day. No compensation for the extra gas money or the inconvenience.
