Jose is very professional, organized, and a direct communicator. There's never a wait and the process of renting a vehicle is very quick. The trucks are always clean and have gas in the tank. We recommend him to everyone.

My experience started off bad digitally, my pick up location and time was changed and I wasn't notified until I arrived. Lots of time and gas wasted driving around. On top of it I called ahead to this location and he wouldn't confirm my details until I got there and was very rude on top of it. Laughed at me for not knowing my pick up time, two fold bad experience: digital communication was non existent and the in person communication was insulting. Only good thing was help center trying best to help me out

Jose works to get you in and out quickly. He was cleaning vans when I arrived, so I knew that the vehicle was sanitary. Some consider his demeanor "gruff", but he's just to the point and moves things along quickly. I don't think I've ever rented a UHAUL van/truck and been in and out so quickly! Check in was also very efficient. I will use this location again!

Better reservation system. Sent me to wrong location. It said some one would call the night prior to confirm. No one did. And finally, be careful about sizes. My 5x8 trailer was only 4' 6" wide.

The manager was gruff and annoyed that I arrived 45 minutes later than my reservation time. He called from an unknown number and did not leave a message. He complained that "other people needed the truck" though I had it reserved for 24 hours a week in advance. The truck was damage but not recorded in the photos avail. for review online. The manager did not do a walk around or tell me that I would receive a text asking me to do so. When I returned the vehicle, the manager was not wearing a face mask throughout the return process.

The representative was extremely helpful and kind. Very quick to get me my rental van. The representative made sure the van was clean before I used it, and began cleaning the van after I returned it for the next customer even though it was still clean after my use. I appreciate his attitude regarding cleanliness, especially during these times. Would definitely recommend this location. Great customer service!

My reservation was not available, Staff kept insisting it was customers like me that caused the problem, and wouldn't help me tp obtain the 50$ refund that the U-haual stipulates for equipment not being available. also, attendant was not wearing a mask when i retuned nor attempted to,

The beginning mileage on the vehicle's odometer was not pointed out to me. So when I was charged 65 miles rather than the expected 40 (2 miles back and forth from Uhaul to home, and 38 miles to my destination), I was upset and had no way to prove that the initial mileage was incorrect. The owner compensated by not charging me the 1/4 tank of gas I used, which was great. But I still feel cheated. I know it's ridiculous, the difference was $25. Like, who cares? Regardless, I'm annoyed and don't ever want to use that location again.

So, the employee i worked with was cool. No bull shit, fast and I was in and out within 5 min. However, the shop is not at the best location of the town. 8 out of 10 times you will be fine, you just don't know when that 2 times gonna happen.

I showed up on the spot at 3 pm and the manager rented me his 10ft van. He was easy to work with. The location is a bit ramshackle, but rental transaction was quite fluid and easy. I'd rent again from them.

Make sure the tank is filled. I drove 19 miles and put 3.8 gallons in to get it to full.

Make it more apparent where the actual office entrance is. The people next door aren't exactly neighborly and didn't take too kindly to a pair of strangers walking over their property to find the unmarked entrance.

This doesn't not pertain to this location but the location in Hayward on Walkins st. Do not do a mobile pick up. We did this and the truck was broken into and the gas was Syphaned out. Mobile pick up is too risky.

This pick up location was NOT the original location selected AND CONFIRMED online. This error by Uhaul added 4 hours to the moving process and added cost for a ride share to the farther location. This truck should have been picked up and dropped at the original location by a Uhaul representative.

The truck we ordered was not returned in time and we had to take a smaller truck. The manager did everything he could to make the situation as positive as possible To improve it for the next customer, I suggest putting in stiff penalties for jerks that run over their time limit and then don't answer the phone.

Overall experience with phone rep I'd say above average. However when I arrived at the location for a pick up I was treated poorly made to wait outside gentlemen was short and abrupt. Even when I called two days after rental to question a charge he said he was at lunch call later and hung up.

Place more obvious signs about where the office is located, add more staff and stock up on inventory for rental equipment. I requested a rental of dollies and furniture pads and was simply told that they weren't available when I got there. And the computer system for processing payments was also malfunctioning, and the only employee was unable to get help from corporate support.

I reserved a trailer a week ahead of time. I had to call back three times to finally get a confirmation, when I finally did get them to confirm they told me I had to drive an extra 3 hours round trip further than where I had scheduled the pick up. When I asked to talk to a manager at the scheduling department i was told no they had already left for the day, when I asked for a transcript of the phone call, as it's stated at the beginning of the call you can request one I was told no, I had to go to some website to request that. That was infuriating, Everyone else I dealt with was great.

The location I went to pick up was ghetto, didn't have any sign or board about where the office was. I found it after 5 minutes and walked in and it felt like I walked it on someone's room. It was nothing like a office, the nastiest room a person can live in where a guy was snoring in a chair. I asked is this your office, he said “ what do you mean ?, you don't wanna rent my room the truck is outside, leave my office alone”. I needed the truck otherwise I would've walk out of that arrogant piece of shit place. Please don't ever go there.

We booked a pick up at Hayward, not Oakland. It was completely inconvenient to have to go all the way to Oakland with no prior notification. It would have been supremely helpful that once it was figured out that Hayward was oversold that customer service emailed to let us know the pick up location had changed. We wasted time and trips to the wrong location because there was no notification that we needed to pick up somewhere else. The rep in Hayward was very pleasant and helpful. But other than that huge fail for U-Haul.
