It took 30 minutes using the Uhaul App to pickup the van. In person it would have taken 5 minutes. When I dropped off the van, the Uhaul App did not see the odometer reading on the photos I took, as a result I was not able to complete the drop off on the App.Benjamin B.

The uhaul car could be cleaner. Some car blocked the exit way of the uhaul. I waited for someone who can help me for more than 10 mins because no one is at the service desk and there is no clear uhaul tag, making it hard to find the right place to check in.Jian Y.

The rental was just fine. Upon return of the equipment, the online app didn't work as required for an unmanned site and I spent HOURS on hold trying to close my rental. The call back system didn't work and the advertised "chat" system was completely unresponsive. Your technical support for users is TERRIBLE.Karl K.

Horrible experience. There is not physical store at this location so it's hard reach out for questions. App procedure is not clear and crashes. The app didn't take any of my 30 tries on uploading the mileage and gas pictures. Customer service over the phone takes forever to connect you. Online chat never responds. What a bad bad bad service. Next time I move, I'll be using other service like Penske. Returning the truck was also a hassle and wasted like 2 hours trying to do whole process through the sloppy app. Got charged extra... What a waste of money and bad experience. 0 stars 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼Juan C.
Make the self check-in process easier, faster, and more seamless. It took 20 minutes to do a self check-in, on two different phones, and much of it could have been completed in advance. It would have been faster to check in with a representative at the pick-up location, so what's the point?Jeffrey K.

The 15' truck we had should have been pulled from service. After I loaded up our gear the truck would not start. Uhaul subcontractor showed up and determined the shifter for N and P was faulty and had to by "jury rigged" in order to tell the truck to start. Thus, not a reliable starting vehicle. I conveyed this message to the drop off point at Mountain View. I made sure I did not turn the vehicle off during the entire time to ensure I could get to my final destination without the safe knowledge the vehicle would start again. Thanks for having your repair crew inspect this vehicle and repair, same.KEVIN M.

Long story short: I had a very poor experience with the self check-in system. It took 50 minutes from the time I arrived at the truck for me to actually drive away in the vehicle, which set me behind on the moving timeline my wife and I had set for the day. First, it was not clear to me that I would need to spend so long or jump through as many hoops as I did to verify my identity before taking possession of the truck. Had I been given clearer instructions for setting up the verification process BEFORE arriving on site, I would have been in much better shape. But as it was, Uhaul failed to connect with my friend who had agreed to verify me, leading to a significant delay (around 30 minutes) in the check-in process. The website and app both stopped working several times during the check-in process, causing additional delays. I'm sure I'm not the only one out there who has poor cell service; a more robust app and website would go a long way towards reducing frustrations on site. The staff at Automotive Unlimited (the physical location of the pickup site) was completely indifferent to my difficulties. There were only two individuals on-site when I arrived; I attempted to ask for their help (while I was waiting on hold for Uhaul customer service), and they told me I would have to wait. 15 minutes later, they were still busy. Their signage pointing me to where the trucks were was also unclear, and the area was strewn with junk and other parked cars, making it difficult to egress safely. One of five stars; would not recommend.Paul N.

The truck we received had graffiti on one side of the truck and was a little dirty. Could have been better for a one-way trip. But the truck did make it all the way down without any mechanical issues.RICHARD J.

The location gave me a utility dolly instead of a furniture one. The u haul app is awful. It refused to accept my odometer picture for a long time, ultimately taking over 30 minutes to complete the return.Tatsunori H.

The truck that I was given was dirty and they had not done an inspection. Before I left the Mountain View location I told the worker that the gas was lower than what the paper work read and that the passenger Mirror was broken. He responded that he did not know what to do because a manager was not there. When I returned the truck l left it with more gas than it originally had and I was still charged $72 for gas! You can provide the equipment that is paid for. I did not receive either the utility dolly or the appliance dolly with my truck although I paid for them. For me, as I am sure for many others, when I hire a moving truck, I need it then and don't have time to wait for problems such as this to be solved.Pamela N.

We rented a 15feet truck but we received call 2hours before pickup that it's going to be late so we should pickup at 11:30 am instead of the scheduled 10 am. When we arrived at the location 15 feet truck was still not available and we were offered 10 feet. so we have to do two trips instead of one. The location is not actual U haul its just a repair shop renting u haul so thay dont have backups. I wont use this location again.Avinash C.

It took me almost two hours just to get the truck. There is no U-Haul office at the location, I ordered the mobile pickup and drop off. I found the right truck but the pick up in the mobile app was not working while the connection was fine, the U-Haul customer service took 30 minutes of waiting and another 30 of talking and was not able to help. We had to drive to the nearest U-Haul office to be told not to use the app but to use the web browser instead. Then with the silly multi step verification (call to a friend, picture of a lease, picture of a passport ) and a dozen of pictures of every dent and scratch on the truck body, another 30 minutes were wasted. Overall very poor experience, I'll avoid U-Haul as much as possible in the future.Nikolay A.

The online web check in was horrible. I tried to check in using the website, and I provided two phone numbers for reference, and it didn't work. I had to online chat with a representative, who said I had to talk to an in person rep. I called a phone rep, and it took forever to get onto them. The whole check in took 45 minutes, when it should have been quick. I was pretty disappointed that the phone check in didn't work. Once I went to the in person check in, that was pretty quick.Risha M.

It was a gas station where we had to return the truck. We weren't quite sure if we had returned to the right location. If the rental agreement had forewarned us about the return location being a Gas station/Workshop we wouldn't have been confused.Krishna P.
