I rented a uhaul from this location in December. My original reservation was for a different uhaul who changed my reservation to this other location 2 days before I was scheduled to drive cross country from Bakersfield to the east coast. I was extremely stressed that uhaul changed my cancellation at the literal last minute to a location i was unfamiliar with. The employees at this store were so nice and patient with me when my credit card was declining because my bank thought it was fraud. I had to pause my reservation to call my bank. Everything on their part was seemless. They gave me a truck that was very clean, had a full tank and the truck only had like 13k miles on it. I felt very safe driving it. I will probably never be in Bakersfield again, but I would definitely go to this location again.

BRIAN JI reserved a U-Haul online in advance for a long-distance move. The day before pickup, my reservation was changed from a corporate U-Haul location to an off-site neighborhood pickup location because the original store did not have the vehicle available. This was clearly U-Haul‘s problem and not the owner of this store for that item. When I arrived, the truck was correct, but the reserved equipment (furniture blankets and a hand truck) was not initially available. After some delay, the owner eventually located and provided the items, but this should have been ready at pickup and did not inspire confidence in the process. The pickup was also slowed due to technical issues with the internet connection during license verification. While the owner tried to assist, the location was clearly not set up to handle a smooth or efficient rental. I understand that problems happen, but last-minute location changes and disorganized pickups add unnecessary stress to an already time-sensitive move. Better coordination and preparation are needed.
