Jason SI originally booked at the Glisan location, then got a call offering an upgrade if I switched to Burnside.. It was a huge mess and set us back 45 minutes (which included our rental time). The person at the store was super nice and tried her best, but clearly had not been properly trained. The entire exchange was so confusing and stressful on top of an already tense day. The manager she kept calling for help to was snappy with her and with my mother. Not helpful or kind. She also had to scan my ID using her phone, which I find really unsettling. The truck was fine, but smelled really bad. The bill was also much, much more than anticipated with all the hidden taxes and fees, which were not communicated in the booking process. Overall, this was an awful experience and I will not be using or recommending U-Haul again, at least in this area. I should have never taken the upgrade and trusted the “deal.” It was a very, very difficult day already, and this was a major disappointment.
