PATRICK BJust check the ratchet tie down tightner, some are pretty rusty and tricky to tighten straps .
Victor MI rented a flat deck trailer to assist my daughter to move. When I picked the trailer up, the person at the location had a difficult time getting the trailer to attach to the ball on my vehicle. When I tried to take the trailer off my vehicle, it took two people to get it to come off the ball. In fact, my son-in-law cracked a rib and wound up at Emerg when he tried to hook the trailer up to my vehicle on his own! I am a 65 year old woman who lives alone. I have had my own camping trailer and had no difficulty whatsoever hooking that up and unhooking it by myself. There is absolutely no way that I could have done this on my own with this flat deck trailer, which should have been much easier to work with, not harder. I had to extend my rental due to unforeseen circumstances, so it was necessary to hook it up and unhook it multiple times. Every time, I had to find two people who were kind enough to help me out. Had I known this was going to be the case, I never would have rented the trailer. The person at the local U-Haul said he would send the trailer to Edmonton when I returned it and let them know it needed to be repaired. However, I was not offered any type of discount or compensation for having to deal with a damaged unit. I feel there should be some type of discount for having a defective unit. Valerie Hanlon

Abrahale DThe truck windows were very dirty when we rented the truck at the beginning. One big disappointment was that the truck did not have a cd player or a back camera. It would facilitate alot if we had a little camera for backing up or even while driving. It would have been really hard if i was alone. I think the truck could get an upgrade. I also would have lile to ajust the mirrors to my licking for a better experence.

Coty PThe actual “owner/operator” was a creep and had actually given hell to his employee for HELPING me, after he caused me to have NO HELP cuz they never gave me the code to get into the compound so that I COULD Unload the truck so it was his own idea to help since I was ALONE doing the unloading!! It was the worst: no one mentioned (in the 5 times I spoke to an agent over the phone!) the deposit required for the truck that isn’t paid after you’re done so you know the full cost… it was terribly organized and the ONLY high point was dealing with Bill from the storage facility for uhaul in Cold Lake: such a gong show!!

After booking trailer in Meadow Lake, I received a call from U-haul saying trailer wasn't available for all the days I wanted. I ended up driving to pick up the trailer in Cold Lake (1 & 1/2 hours away) When I picked up the trailer it was more than double the price and I had the extra expense of drive for pick up.

Luis Athe owner had the truck warmed up and started since it was -30 when we went to pick up. this was done he said to make sure it would start for us and we were not delayed. i liked this very much. he made sure to warn us about other uhual locations trying to gouge you on fuel or damages and im sure happy this was done as the drop off location wanted extra fuel when I had already filled it passed the mark of when i got it.

Tetiana DI had a very stressful trip worrying because the fuel tank gauge was not working and the warning fuel light cam on at the very start after filling it up. It’s very stressful not knowing if there was a fuel leak or something going on with that you may not be able to fulfil your moving task or if the truck will leave you stranded on the highway. Could not wait to get it back to the uhaule dealer. He was very friendly and would deal with him again.

ahmed ewhile i dont have a problem with our location or the staff at the U haul rental place where I live I do have a problem with the way my last two rental contracts have gone. The first of the last two U Haul did not issue a refund for deposit by putting it back on my card they decided to mail me a check which probably will be a month waiting by the time I get it and make sure it goes through. This last one they say my card was a discover card for refund and they are and were going to send me another check i had to call and try to clear matters up because I dont own a Discover card LOL they also claim it had a china based content whatever thats supposed to mean so not pleased with U Haul and administration problems they claim they will send me refund for deposit to my normal card used but havent seen it yet that was 2 days ago now normally refund is the next day or no more than 2-3 days so not sure whats going on but my refunds are needed back i am not rich and count on my refund as soon as possible thanks.

The manager's conduct was unacceptable, and I strongly believe that they should be relieved of their duties. I am truly disappointed and perplexed as to how U-Haul would have representatives operating from this particular location. I cannot recommend this place at all."
