Cold Lake branch never answers the phone, we waited outside for them to come to the office at 9:30 and we were told opens at 9:00, they live in a house in same yard and we watched her open the curtains and then stroll to the office 8 min late, 2 other clients waiting as well, Truck had less than 1/8 of a tank of gas, the most unprofessional u-haul ever visited and we had a long day going to Calgary, u-haul better shake up your employees, quite unbelievable!
Yves GI had a pick up time at 11, waited for customer for about 10 minutes then they came out and I told her to call me in my car because I’m succeptible to skin cancer. She said ok and then took a person who was outside waiting before me. I waited until almost 12 then drove away. Very poorly run service!
kevin kI am writing to formally submit a complaint regarding the severe inconvenience and significant out-of-pocket expenses caused by a last-minute change to my pick-up location for Reservation #72776408. My original reservation was meant to be picked up in the Fort McMurray area. However, U-Haul changed my pick-up location to Cold Lake, which is over 400 km away (a 4+ hour drive one way). While I appreciate that U-Haul provided an extra day and additional mileage allowance, this did not cover the substantial financial costs I incurred to retrieve the vehicle. Because of this location change, I suffered the following direct financial losses: $150.00 CAD – Fuel for the personal support vehicle driven to Cold Lake. $150.00 CAD – Payment for the additional driver required to transport me. $150.00 CAD – Extra fuel required for the 20' truck to drive it back from Cold Lake to Fort McMurray before starting my move. Total Out-of-Pocket Expenses: $450.00 CAD (Note: In addition to these logistics expenses, my 70-inch television was severely damaged during transit). Given that this pick-up relocation was forced upon me by U-Haul and resulted in $450.00 CAD in additional expenses, the current compensation offered is completely inadequate. I request that an Area Field Manager or Customer Relations Executive review my file (Reservation #72776408) and issue a partial refund/reimbursement of $450 .00 CAD onto my original payment method to cover these direct out-of-pocket costs. I submitted a claim via the mobile app previously but have not received a resolution. Please confirm receipt of this email and let me know the timeframe for processing this reimbursement. Kacem Onobody was there and I feel that I left the fuel at the amount it was to be left at Then I was over charged for the amount. I am in a shity spot as u_haul is the only vehical I can use to go where I need. If there was another company I would use them. I dont like being taken for granted.
