The location itself wasn't the issue. I got texts saying to that was my drop off location, but it wasn't the 1 I requested. I wasted an hour and a half getting passed around to 3 different "customer support" people on the phone that were not helpful. There were at least 3 other locations that were closer and no one could explain why I was being sent there, why my request wasn't being honored, or why they couldn't change it back. The next morning someone from the ORIGINALLY REQUESTED LOCATION called me, asking where the truck was and if I could contact the regional office to explain. NO, I DO NOT WORK FOR UHAUL. Then, I was charged for the 3rd day, even though it was free and noted in my contract.
MELINDA WOODARDI was there 2 hours for a pick up. Person there didn't help with anything except he advised to check in online. While I finished checking In, he told me keys are inside the truck. Which I never found it. he didn't help and left the location unattended. I have spent 45 minutes on phone with usual representative and someone showed up from another location and he switched truck for us. This location shouldn't be servicing Uhaul. I hope for some type of compensation since I have 4 different trips with usual this month.

Joseph NogueiraThe employee did not know how to actually rent out the UHaul on his own. Then during the drive the truck broke down and had to be towed. Not sure if maintenance was properly done on the truck or not.
Roger RussAbsolute awful experience with your scheduling department. They changed our pick up location without our knowledge (no email came through) to an in person pick up later than we needed. We moved it to this location and had to pay for double the amount of miles because your company failed to notify us of changes. No excuse for horrible customer service. 0 percent that I will ever recommend a uhaul truck rental to anyone I know.

Charlie FrazierAccessing the vehicle through the phone was difficult. The key was locked in the box section of the truck with no combination provided for pad lock. Had to call 800 number which took long to get help. I reserved and was charged for furniture pads and a utility dolly that were NOT provided. Still trying to dispute these charges.

Still have not received an email receipt from store manager that I called and formally requested for a second time yesterday
Sean SullivanI requested furniture pads, did not receive them and still got charged. I was also charged for premium fuel instead of the regular grade fuel that is put into the gas tank.

Alice KnoxPlease note that these comments have nothing to do with your employees. The personnel at the Columbia location were cordial and helpful. My complaint is with UHaul Corporate. I reserved a 15-ft truck, but was told the day before that none were available within a 30-mile radius. I inquired about a 10-ft truck - none available, so I accepted the 20-ft truck because my move had to happen that day due to my work schedule. Driving past other uhaul locations in Columbia that day, I noticed there were 15-ft trucks on site. Perhaps these are not designated for one-way rental. Regardless, you can well imagine the fuel cost of a 20-ft truck is higher than a 15-ft truck, especially when driving 500 miles.
Greg DeverStraps on dolly were frayed. I rented blankets and there were none. The online check in was a nightmare and we spent an hour on the phone with customer service. The website said there was a counter an the truck was just in a parking lot.

MARSHA WILSONOur reserved location was changed the night before without notice. Since I pre-paid the the entire bill I had no choice but to drive 20 minutes across town to find out all they had was the truck. They didn't have the hand truck or blankets we ordered. The young lady helping us called tech support who assured her a location 1 mile away had the hand supplies we needed. They did not have anything at all. We then went back across town to the original location and I had to pay for the blankets a 2nd time. I have n=moved many times for work and always used U-Haul. This experience may mean I will look elsewhere next time. Not very happy at all.
Kenneth HeroldI had a terrible experience at this location. I specifically requested 24 hour pick up for 7:00 AM. When I arrived at the location the truck was set for in person pick up only and the store wasn’t scheduled to open until 9:00 AM. I went over to store 783050 where Brian Harvey went out of his way to help me out and find someone who could release the vehicle to me. Someone arrived at 8:10 however they didn’t have a key so they went back to the main store and had a separate key cut. I finally got into the vehicle at 8:45 AM. The truck was dirty and had trash in it. The AC didn’t blow cold air. I arrived 2 hours late to my destination. I will not be using this store again. Brian Harvey at store 783050 was great to work with and I will only be using his store in the future.

SHAH BROWNAgent should give customers instructions for returning the haul by telling them to look on their phone for a text and to follow the online instructions. I have never used a U Haul truck before so I did not know the procedure.

Robert FelderI appreciated the efficient way that I could contact a reservation manager by phone who could set me up with a reservation digitally. Then, I could check in online and have everything ready when I went to pick up the truck. This saved time and prevented confusion.

Toya WalkerThe man there was nice. I tried to call several times while I had the truck to ask questions. No one ever answered the phone. What if it was an emergency? I do not have a phone with internet access to search for another uhaul number. So what would I do? Suggest, have more gas in the vehicle. The special benefit/discount that I supposedly received for putting $15.___ in gas. Was not a discount in anyway. That amount was deducted from my total, was not a discount. I still paid the same amount. The only difference was I was putting more gas in the truck when I returned it than what was in the truck when I picked it up. That wasn't a discount. That was an untrue statement. There was no discount.
