Very disappointing experience overall. The van was old and dirty, to the point that I could barely see clearly through the windshield. To make matters worse, the sun visor came loose from its hinges when I tried to use it to shield myself from the direct sunlight. The fuel situation was equally frustrating. Admittedly, I should have taken a picture of the gas gauge before leaving. However, the rental paperwork showed a linear fuel indicator, while the actual van had a circular, clock-like gauge with a needle, making comparisons unnecessarily confusing. Regardless, I made sure to return the van with the needle in exactly the same position as when I picked it up, yet I was still charged for additional fuel. I also acknowledge returning the vehicle a little late, but I was charged for an entire additional day. Had I known that would be the case, I certainly would have kept the van for the extra time I was paying for! Finally, the advertised $19.95 rental rate feels extremely misleading. By the time all the additional charges and fees were added, my total came to approximately $150. I understand that taxes, mileage, and other fees may apply, but there should be greater transparency and fairness in how these charges are communicated and assessed. Overall, a disappointing experience, both in terms of vehicle condition and billing practices.
