I can't say how horrible these people are. They didn't rent me a dolly, but charged me for it Said they'd take it off bill and when I asked for a receipt they told me to get the hell out. I can't stress enough how nobody I know will ever rent a uhaul the job took me 90. Mins longer because they forgot to put a dolly on the truck I've called my bank cause the man says he decides what someone pays. Awful is putting my experience mildlyDavid W.

My location got changed 3 times from the one I selected which resulted in a larger distance than initially planned. I also had to wait for over 20 minutes to obtain the vehicle because they could not locate the key- I was initially charged over $80 when picking up the vehicle. I did not get to use the vehicle for the entire 4 hours as planned and had to move quicker just to return it before the return time. My time moving items was wasted by having to driver further than I originally scheduled for plus having to wait for my vehicle despite arriving at the time of getting the vehicle.Margitta S.

Almost couldn't tell it was a U-Haul drop off if it wasn't for the 2 Uhauls in the rear of the building. Drop of felt shady and unprofessional. No closure, no receipt verifying you dropped off the vehicle with the clerk. Your entire process for renting a vehicle needs a massive overhaul. It's so poorly designed.DAMIAN M.

I reserved my truck for a location in Perkiomenville but uhaul changed it to somewhere in Pottstown which was very inconvenient for me on moving day. It was very out of the way. I would recommend that if a customer needs a truck at a certain location, that is where they can get it.Brandee S.

The vehicle was very nasty there was ashes from a cigarettes on the dash and the driver's side door and there was used napkins in the cup holder and on the floor and the floor in the vehicle was muddy so I took pictures of the vehicle and went back inside and show them to the clerk and he acted as if he didn't care he told me that the vehicle should have been cleaned out and to just bring it back just as it is and I told him that it was unacceptable for the vehicle to look like that and he told me to take it or leave it the choice was mine but I didn't have a choice because I had taken off from work that day to be able to move and there wasn't any other vehicles available near me so I had to clean the vehicle out in order to use it which also took up time because I had to return the vehicle back that same day to avoid a late fee. I will never rent from this place ever again there was no customer service whatsoever.Lynnette D.

My truck was not available when I attempted to pick it up at the scheduled time at the Lancaster, PA location. The person there directed me to the Pottstown location to pick up a different truck for my move. It was frustrating and anxiety inducing since everything had to happen that day. However my issue was resolved as quickly as possible. I was told the truck designated for my rental did not get dropped off that week for me and a replacement was found an hour away. Not ideal but I had no other options. The Pottstown location was run out of a Sunoco. The place is fine. But it serves mostly as a gas station convenience store. No major complaints.Connor D.

I did not know that my reservation would be cancelled if I did not pick up within an hour of the reservation time. This was annoying, and it took about an hour to sort out, until I had the truck. Since it was just a pickup location, there wasn't anyone there to help, so I called your customer support number and it took forever to get someone on the phone.Melissa M.

Hold your licensed non-Uhaul locations to higher standards. There were tiny bugs all around the store when I was going to rent it, and the location attracted several unsavory people that I felt in danger both picking the unit up and dropping it off. I got harassed by a man asking for money when I picked the truck up who had just been inside playing on the casino games. I got followed around the parking lot when trying to keep my distance from two men I didn't know when I dropped it off and was waiting for my ride. The rental was clean and the location was fine. My only problem was that my pickup location was changed. I found out where I was picking up literally the evening before I had to pick it up and I had to drive 45 minutes the opposite direction in order to get a truck. I rented a hand truck and blankets, the guy got them out of a storage room and left the hand truck by the door. I had to go down a ramp and bring it up to the truck. He could have put the blankets on top of a railing, but instead, threw them on the ground. The ground happened to be a parking spot that had oil and other stains in it.Mark L.

1. the truck had transmission issues. That made me feel unsafe driving the distance I needed to. 2.The truck was not ready when I was told it would be and had to return the following day. 3. I was told there would be furniture pads at this location and of course there were none.lyle F.
I would not recommend what so ever. If you want rude people who aren't willing to help you, then you've found the place. The truck that I had paid for was double parked by another one of the uhaul trucks. When I mentioned this to the workers, their response was â€œokâ€. After standing there for about 5 minutes in silence, I had to speak up and say â€œcan someone possibly move the uhaul blocking this truck in?â€ No eye contact was made, just a massive sigh and a rudely spoken â€œfineâ€. This place is really sketchy. Hopefully this pandemic will not last too much longer, but in the meantime no one in this establishment was wearing a mask. Although I was told I had until 1 pm to pick up my rental, the clerk acted annoyed that I did not show up at the 10:30 am time I had only guessed that I could make when making the reservation (working family member could drop me off at 12 pm). The truck itself did not appear to be cleaned since the last renter (saw dust and other debris in the bed). All in all this establishment was very unwelcoming with many unfriendly faces.Tyler W.

No masks by any employee during a pandemic (mandated by the Gov. of PA though). Employee stopped several times to answer questions and engage other customers in the middle of my transaction rather than asking them to patiently wait until we were done, so it took over 30 mins rather then letting me get in and get out - just very off-putting. The Pick up location was fine and great. The overall UHaul experience was terrible. My pick up location was moved without any notification, as well as other instructions were not passed along (ie what to do with the lock), and drop off time being changed. The inside of the truck was fairly dirty. I've never rented a U-Haul before, but I have rented regular cars. Comparing the two experiences my10 food U-Haul was very dirty inside. Just thin it should be cleaned more often. I don't think it was cleaned several monthsFred K.

I had the run around, picked up time was wrong, they placed 3pm, not 8am! Drop off location was Norristown, should of been Pottstown. The guy on the phone didn't want to do a reservation, he said just come in and I should have a truck for you. I explained to him I was far and I didn't want to take a chance but he said just come. When I got there the gas was wrong, the truck had a bumper falling off and they charge me $151 when it should have been $49.99 I didn't go over the miles or returned the truck late. Very sneaky guys.
