The truck that I rented TM 6826 H has a major hole in the gas fill up hose. Several gallons spilled onto the ground when trying to fill up. Customer service was awesome the young lady was very polite and professional. Unfortunately I was under the impression that I was be able to drop off the U-Haul at a location in La habra where I moved to you but because I had it reserved I was told when I called the number of the young lady gave me that I was told I have to take it back to that location on Esperanza so I had to double back and of course use more miles which costs more money than I really did not have but I was able to pay it I was just a little disappointed with that cuz seems like any way to get a buck out of people in any manner this was one of them it seemed like to me that's the way I felt I was happy with what I was quoted and paid but again I didn't know I had to backtrack back to Whittier to drop off the U-Haul when I moved to La habra but I'm over it I just felt it wasn't fair and it wasn't explained clearly cuz the young lady was under the impression that I could just call the 626 number that she gave me unless she actually really knew that that was going to be the outcome of it and just go through the motions but it cost me an additional $15 plus we put in gas and went over the amount that was in the tank the next time I'll know better just to put in the right amount and to make sure I get all the facts correctlyGloria L.

I reserved a 15' truck on Jan 13th online, using our corporate account. On Jan 19th, when my husband arrived to pick up the truck; and 45 minutes later, he was helped! He was told that there was no such corporate number, so the person canceled the order (#22343786) and created a new order. The truck was returned on Jan 20th before 5:30 pm, and today Jan 21st, we received an email with the charges of $316.69 (#87084254). Wow!! This is unacceptable! I did what I was supposed to do and used my corporate account. Why this person felt he could cancel it and issue another order just to charge us more money is unsatisfactory!! In all the years that we have been renting from you, we have never been treated like this. The person in that Whittier location treated us like if we were falsifying our information. Terrible service!! Plus, we made a reservation because we had employees working and on the clock and didn't have time for this. So when my husband had to re-do the order, it took a little over one hour to complete the transaction (see invoice). Our employees were sitting around waiting for us. My husband arrived at 9:30 am when the store was scheduled to open, and as you can see on the invoice it was 10:25 am when the attraction was completed. I am very upset, and I need your help. Jesse was amazing. He was so friendly and helpful. I would rent from this location again simply because of him. The truck needed to be washed and had no wiper fluid. The gas tank has less than 1/4 tank to start. That's stressful stuff when you have a short window for a rental. Next time I'll bring paper towels and window cleaner.Cynthia B.

I was charged and extra $5 for the drive from my new address to where the truck was dropped off. I was not happy about the extra charges for "extra miles" driven when it was the miles to drop off the truck and I paid $15 to fill the gas. There's extra hidden costs that are not cool.Joscelyn B.

Disappointing experience. We went a total of 11 miles round trip, put 2 gallons of gas in the truck ACROSS THE STREET from the rental location, and Raymond proceeded to charge us for fuel regardless. The original location I reserved at (in Downey, CA) did not have the Cargo Van, and never bothered to contact me to coordinate an alternative location. I would have not even known if I didn't call to confirm my reservation. Quite disappointing service. Customers expect better service from a premier rental company! When I arrived, I was first told that I had no reservation. When I persisted, I was then told that my reservation was moved to another location. Unfortunately as result of not originally including dolly with truck order as requested I had to rent dolly in San Pedro then deal with all the confusion regarding return of dolly. I returned dolly to same location I returned truck but UHAUL wanted me to return dolly to different location. Customer service was horrible both on phone and at location. I rented it for 24hrs and my return time was 23hrs. I was going to be an hour late and when I called they said either way I'm being charged another day. I told them if that's the case then I'll turn it in tomorrow and was told that I'm not allowed to do that and to return it asap. My reservation was incorrect, I asked for a 17' truck and was forced by the clerk to take a 14' truck instead, I was over priced from my original quote and to make things ever worst, when I tried to return the truck, the location 'close early due to a christening', so I had to return the truck today making me have to take time off from work and lose out on the time I had to take. I in turn filed a claim (#xxx392) and your customer service rep Samuel Cocchi was arguing with me instead of trying to help ease the situation. I'm so disappointed. I am very disappointed to say that I felt that I was taken advantage of by a staff member name Joe he was very rude and insulted me In front of my . He ran out if the office to yell at me. Then is when I decided just to leave. He charged me a $35.00 cleaning fee for the truck the was cleaned out by myself and I do have the photos to prove that the truck was in the same condition as it was received. Upon arrival of picking up the uhaul truck the truck keys were handed over to my son who is only 17 years of age and not a licence driver. When my nephew was the only one with the license and should have been instructed on how to use the truck instead of my son. I do not recommend the haul location to single lady's I was not the only victim there was another woman that left her cell phone and was TOLD by the staff that she was not getting it back because the storage unit was not swept out. Staff is rude, no smiling faces, no customer service at all. I truly believe that they are scamming those that appear to look weak!EVON V.
The first question was how you rate this location. I rated it poor because the location itself is poor, not the facility or the representative . I had an overall great experience. The location is hard to get to, and can easily be mistaken as the freeway entrance. Your representative was very courteous and professional. The location was supposed to be open but it was not. I had to call the 800 number for assistance. We ended up parking the truck in the driveway and locking the blankets in the cab, which seemed risky to us. There was no lock box but we slid the keys through the mail slot. Others were also there in the same situation. It seems the owner took the holiday off but corporate was not aware of the situation.
