Rented the car hauler at 1:00 P.M. and it was due back by 11:00 P.M. on 10/07/19 and had the trailer back at the drop off location at 7:59 P.M. and left the contract in the drop box as instructed and followed the check i/drop off steps on my mobile phone to keep from being charged an additional $20.00 and got an email yesterday that the trailer was checked in by the business at 1:30 P.M. and I WAS GETTING CHARGED THE $20.00 LATE RETURN FEE!! WILL NOT USE UHAUL AGAIN FOR THIS REASON!!!!!

A field out in the middle of nowhere with no cell service to do the online closeout. A field with a gate and a fence. We called to try to finish the closeout after leaving and got transferred to 5 different people who could not and did not solve the problem. I ended up getting charged an extra day because I could not end the reservation at the drop off. I

I cant think of anything. I had some bad experiences with Cobb AND his wife. I would NEVER go there again. So I went to bj bait and they're always polite respectful and professional. They get me in and out, take care of me. Cant say any of that about Cobb's.

I attempted, several times, to use the online process to check my rental back in and could not due to lack of signal for my mobile phone. When I got home and logged in on my WiFi I then needed pictures of the vehicle which was 25 miles away. Needless to say, the process needs to be spelled out so if there’s no signal I know what to get before leaving the rental. I feel being penalized for bringing the rental back early is unnecessary.

Give me back the extra fees. Gas and mileage. I drove the truck straight to my house then to my new house. Among other fees that popped up to complete the process. When I made my initial payment I thought that was it. Bs.

Customer Service wasn't followed through...Bobbi had been waiting on me previously ...then all of a sudden she went to walk her dog...per her husband...WHAT????? Once she had my money she was through with customer service...She was short with me when I asked her to walk with me around the truck to confirm any damage...she told me to do it myself...and up in some tall grass I could hardly walk in! I had already had a bad experience at another location earlier before hearing about this location a few miles apart...I would encourage anyone to be guarded when renting in this town...Niceville may be 20 miles away...but hopefully the people are SINCERE and NICE...NOT PRETENTIOUS and RUDE...I DON'T PLAN TO EVER RENT IN THIS TOWN EVER AGAIN!!!

Rude U-Haul representative, cargo hold was dirty, cab was dirty as well. The cargo area had to be cleaned before we could begin loading our possessions, truly the first bad experience and worst experience we’ve had with U-Haul. Upon returning the truck the same U-Haul representative had the same terrible attitude as when we first arrived to transact the rental.

I could not get any help in Crestview with my pick up site. I had to drive 30 miles to get a truck and auto transport. Go flat tire on transport and airconditioning went out on truck. When I called for roadside help I was on hold for over 30 minutes each call. 6

Lower ur prices.. I rented a truck that got 7 miles to the gallon and then got charged 79cents a mile also. I will look for another company next time with lower prices.

Received notification that trailer would be guaranteed to be at my preferred rental pick location. One day before pickup received notification of alternate location. Had to drive almost 40 miles to pick up trailer.This was VERY FRUSTRATING and added a huge amount of time and expense to the process...very disappointed in U-Haul.

woman clerk was rude and unprofessional, new u-haul policies are a bunch of crap and I'm not at all happy with all the red tape involved in renting. It will be a last resort when needing to rent something in the future. AND I DO NOT APPRECIATE U_HAULS SYSTEM HAVING MY NAME WRONG IN THE SYSTEM MY NAME IS TROY DIBBLE NOT DIPPLE OR DIBPLE. Very upset with that above all.

Great service, I do have a suggestion on the equipment. The 6/12 we rented did not have a 'jack' built into the tongue that attaches the trailer to a vehicle. It also did not have a stanchion to keep the trailer level while loading, if it was not attached to a vehicle. The most important is the jack, that could would as both a jack and a stanchion. Trying to lift a trailer of that size to put on the ball of a vehicle is beyond the lifting capabilities of most men, not to mention women who may be renting your trailers. Thank you.

I so enjoy a personable business. No corporate hassles just straight one on one customer service. Selling a house and buying a house,everything that comes with that, a complete nightmare. This place came through for us when it mattered most. Excellent service from phone call to pickup. Helpful and genuine, nice to know some people actually care. Definitely a place to go for uhaul needs. Actually going to miss living in defuniak springs area. Good people that take care of everyone. Thank you BJ Bait and tackle.

I have used U-haul on many occasions during my life and never once had a bad experience until now. When i picked up this truck, the lady told me it was running rough, which it did. Halfway through the move, the light in the back of the truck went out and never came back on. This prolonged the move since most of the unloading was done at night. Being a businessman, I understood that things like that happen. I finished the move, drove the truck back to Defuniak Springs, and dropped it off in the dark, dark area they call, "the field". I had no idea what shape the back of the truck was in because I could not see since the light didn't work. I knew that all of our stuff was out and that all the blankets we rented were there so I thought all was fine. I left there at 3 a.m. and returned home. The next morning, the lady called my wife, even raised her voice in anger, telling her the poor condition in which I had left the truck and that she was going to charge us 5 dollars each to fold the blankets we had rented since I didn't fold them. We rented 24 moving blankets. That's $120! As I stated, I have rented U-haul all my life. I never folded blankets and did not know I was supposed to. I thought they laundered them with each move. I have since learned you rent blankets that everyone before you has used, even if they might have bedbugs, etc. The lady said that I had checked a box saying that I would fold the blankets. I'm sure I did. It was an long, wordy contract and I was busy trying to get moved. Having used U-haul in the past, I thought I knew what to expect so I did not take the time to read it. That's on me. When I called the lady to discuss this issue, she was still angry. I have never left a negative review on anyone. But this lady(says she is the owner) called my wife and left her in tears. That's not right. Furthermore, there were problems with the vehicle that affected the outcome of this situation, yet none of that was taken under consideration when I brought this up. This is probably a good bait shop. I would not suggest anyone rent a truck there.

I've used U-Haul & other truck rentals in the past so I am very familiar with driving trucks. This rental agent did not know this and assumed that I was familiar with the truck I was renting and how everything worked. He merely did the paperwork and gave me the keys. He was courteous, but could have taken a few minutes to show me how to operate all the gizmos in the truck to operate it safely?!?!

They’re good people there. I have rented from them before. They had to sweep the trailer out before I could use it. There was some kind of mess on the floor in the front right hand corner. I hauled from Florida to northern kentucky and it rained pretty much all thru Alabama. My bottom box in that corner was soaked. It was glassware, no linens. I’m glad for that. It says they’re water resistant but not waterproof, but no box should be wet inside. Maybe the people that used it last did not tell them, because I’m sure they wouldn’t have given me that trailer if they knew it leaked. When I got to my destination in kentucky, I let a plus storage know.

Woman was very rude. I refused the safe tow and even signed receipt saying I didn’t want it. She argued with me saying I needed it, I again told her no. She charged me for it anyway. Had to call to try to get refund for several days. Was promised an email or call back and never got one.

It's just a store that feels as if it needed a good cleaning job and they also need to find a higher counter so their pitbull wouldn't be able to get over. Dog was nice but you never know.

Absolutely uninviting. The staff were not professional at all. The guy checking the equipment in was wresting sandles that were literally falling off of his feet. They made several snide and unprofessional remarks about the issuing facility. Not someplace i would trust with my personal information.

I picked this location over cobbs, even though it’s out of my way. Cobb’s got nasty with me when I returned a trailer and the other time, nobody was there. At bj bait, The guy was more than helpful in explaining packing and trailers, etc. the young girl who processed my U-Haul very nice, knew what she was doing, of course. They took good care of me. I can’t imagine them picking a fight with their customers. I’ll always do business with them.

Talked with her on the phone very short and curt. Sorta nasty attitude. I was trying to explain to her we told the NC dealer we wanted to drop off on Wednesday and she did it for Thursday. I was asking for a refund for the one day and she was VERY nasty.

She was on top of things. Concerned about following uhaul protocol to avoid liability and customer having a safe experience. They told me they take pictures when they hook up the chains. He told me I could have reversed the receiver. The trailer drug. First Lady cation said dragging is common. Not to worry. Second location said they should never drag. Reverse the receiver if I haul again, I will reverse the receiver

Learn what good customer service is first. Care about the customer. Follow through on correct reservations. Treat the customer with a little respect. When you make a reservation with a customer follow through with correct equipment that the customer reserved at the location they reserved it.
