The van was so filthy I was going to rent it to move some of my things from NC to Md. it was too dirty to want to put any of my things. I had it 25 min. I drove and turned back around and was charged $51.00 The worse experience with u haul ever! Wash your rentals!! The windows had sticky dew that wouldn’t wipe off with wiper blades.

We arrived at 10:30am to pick up the truck, as reserved, and the shop was closed. They did not answer the number posted on the door. We waited around for about 15 minutes and someone unlocked the door, so I went inside. There was a man inside sweeping the floor. I showed him my reservation on my phone and he said, "they won't be here until 11. Wait 11 more minutes" and he turned back to sweeping. I waited in my car and went back again and finally got my keys. The return process is absolute crap. We put the keys in the drop box before realizing we were going to need pictures of the odometer, so we could not get verification of that reading. I didn't appreciate having to take 10 different pictures, either. People are tired after moving a bunch of stuff. I will not rent this way again. Next time, I will go to a U-haul site during open business hours. The inconvenience was not worth the "convenience" of being able to rent outside normal business hours.
