The wife booked truck , for me . WHEN I got there was told I need here phone too pick up truck for GPS, there was no mention of this anywere, she was not with me , it was a nightmare from there , getting truck , plus my credit card wasn't acceptable , which I had used about 4 mnths prior for a big move and had no problem with it at that time , by time everything was straightened out , I was an hour and half past my pick up time , this was a nightmare !!mark M.

Please allow the app to add photos from your gallery. I took the photos I thought needed and drove away after dropping off the truck. Just to find out I had to drive all the way back to the truck and then drop off the keys for the second time because it wouldn't allow you to upload the photos. I found it was super inefficient and needs improvement. The staff was amazing and super knowledgable and thorough with all instructions and friendly.Rachael G.

My chosen vehicle was not available, van I had ran very poorly and would quit running at low speed. I returned van with same amount of fuel as I picked it up but was charged for fuel and a fuel filling fee. Poor experience overall. Rob WilkenRobert W.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with uhaul! First I was sent to one location, to find out I was directed across town to another location, once I arrived my reservation had expired and upon waiting on hold for over an hour was told that this location doesn't do 24/7 yet I was not notified of this before hand! Called many times to get transferred to BC?? Following that I paid that estimate amount which I was then told I had to pay another $50 dollars for being under my kilometres?? I asked the dealer for assistance when picking up and she informed me sorry .. not working today! When returning the truck I accidentally locked the keys in the truck , when asking the representative if they had a spare set of keys I was told I was â€œFuckedâ€ ended up ordering a tow truck which cost me an additional $140 to get back in!! Very unprofessional dealer! And service representatives seemed like they had no idea what they were doing!! Worst day ever!!John P.
The only issue I ran into was the online pick up and drop off . I am unable to use that feature, because I do not have online access other than my home computer and wifi. Blackfoot Baits staff were extremely accommodating.Mary A.
the UHAUL app is TERRIBLE, absolutely the worst thing ever. Please fix it or don't recommend people to download the app when it does not work and trying to check in to pick up the rental wouldn't work on the app OR on regular web app on a phone - MUST use chrome to pick up as everything is glitchy about the uhaul app and website!Debbie D.
Blackfoot Baits pickup location was extremely helpful when the uhaul website and ap failed to allow me to check in or checkout. The Uhaul online process is awful, terrible, unusable and wasted about 1.5hour if my day and lots of stress to an already stressful moving day. Despite adjusting all my location and permissions it would not allow GPS location, it would not accept photos. I will never use uhaul again until the website/ap are revamped. And when I tried to call the 1-800 number on checkout they couldn't even close out the transaction. I had to return to my rental pickup location to ensure the transaction was closed out.Minna H.

The truck wasn't really clean. It was OK but the cupholders how do you spilled coffee, there was used Kleenex on the floor, The driver side back up light was burnt out also.Bonnie K.

There was no problem with the location. The problem was with the booking system. Not user friendly at all. Made the whole experience very frustrating. Would not recommend uhaul.Jim H.

We were told this was a location where we would deal with a person. It was not and it took 4 phone calls and 45 min to get sorted and on the road. The online "easy breezy, 8 minutes tops!" did not work. Wouldn't recognize our location, and the app (that one of the people we spoke on the phone to told us to download) was not available in our region. After all that, we get in to the truck and it (during a pandemic) was filthy and reeked of smoke (party truck?!). The bait shop where we picked up the keys smelled better than the truck. It was a horrendous experience, adding unnecessary stress to an already busy day. We will never rent a Uhaul again.Ryan T.
The processes of pickup and delivery are complicated by the separation of the properties where the vehicles and keys are kept. The person at Blackfoot Baits is very nice but the process itself is not good.Christopher T.
The 4 hr window allowed to rent the bigger trucks is just not enough time to load and unload. It took about 2 hrs just to load the truck then 2 more hrs to unload, plus, to gas up and then return the truck. One day rental should mean exactly that, one day, meaning 24 hrs and not 4 hrs. I used 18.56 l of gasoline to go 25 miles I don't think that the fuel tank was completely full, it did say full on the gas gauge but it should not have taken that much to fill in up after I was finished.Richard D.

The 24/7 pickup option through the app on my phone was a nightmare. And it took 15 minutes for approval once it got sorted out. Also, there was maintenance issues with the truck such as the right indicator not working properly and the fuel gauge wasn't reading properly.Tanner H.

Truck was not at the location ( Address list on invoice), truck was not wiped down or sanitized (Covid 19). Have to all customer service put on hold with out being told wait 5 or more mins then get someone else spend from 845 to after 11 to finally have my info released and someone find the the location of the truck that was a block away from the address provided by U-Haul.Chara O.

The whole process was exceptionally stressful, I have a cell with no data, so the whole electronic check in thing made me angry. The vehicle was NOT available in my preferred location so I had to drive 60 km to pick up and drop off. I only needed it for one load, an hour max, but it turned into a much longer event. Then I could not get in touch with anyone to let them know it had been returned. Dump that electronic check in mess.Daryln C.

Get your act together. A couple of day before the pick up of the moving van. I was contacted by your office in Winnipeg and was told my pickup location was changed. This made it very inconvenient due to the distance i would have to travel to pick it up. The next day I received another phone from the office in Winnipeg. This time saying the 20' van was no longer available and U haul would give us a 26' van. The pick up location changed again, and had to travel even further to pick it up. The day before I was to pick the 26' van up, I received a call from the local dealer in Thunder Bay and reserved the van. A few minutes after that, I received an other call from another dealership in Thunder Bay, saying they had my 20' van available. That day I also received an email saying my contract has been cancelled. I inquired with the dealership in Thunder Bay, Blackfoot Baits, and luckily they keep our reservation. On the local level the customer service was excellent.Joseph H.

U-Haul was great. I rented the 26 foot truck and it was great. The only thing I wish was different was I had to keep the steering wheel tilled to the left to keep it driving straight. It needs to be adjusted other than the rental was fantastic.Ryan B.

Ditch or upgrade the app/contactless experience. It was a disfunctional shit show that almost caused me to throw both my wife and my cell phone into lake superior. It tells you to login to a service that you don't have an account for, and doesn't provide an opportunity to create said account. I got locked into a loop with my location settings and ended up having to reinstall Google chrome in order to have the settings work properly. Waited 20 mins on hold while all this was happening only to be cut off without talking to someone. I was absolutely infuriated at this point. All in all I arrived for my 8 am rental at 725am and didn't drive away until 830am. More than a wasted hour when I had 6 people waiting to help move at a scheduled time, left a very bad taste in my mouth. Also I was told by a police officer that there was a reverse indicator light out on the truck. Everything except for the contactless portion of this rental was more or less good.Jayke W.

Get rid of the lady that works there or send her for training on how to deal with people properly she needs it shouldn't be dealing with the public she has an attitude makes me want to record interactions because she lies straight out my experience was not good equipment was rusty truck almost out of oil trailer came off the truck then she charged for three days only used 2 days on truck and 1 day for trailer she charged me for 3 days on both I told her I was told I would have an extension on my return but she just says nope and proceeded to charge me big was not impressed she probably takes advantage of a lot of people that just pay because they have to not cool how many people just accept it i asked her as a courtesy if I could pick up trailer on my way through t bay as it would be quite late so I didn't have to come in from red Rock in the morning she said no problem then charge me another day not cool then she lied and said she never said that but she did and she knew what I meant she still charged me she was angry because I went to nipigon u haul were the guy put some oil in the truck it barely showed on the dip stick iwas charged another day on both because I was 2 hrs late but I lost 2 to 3 hrs when the trailer came of the truck I said I was told I had extended return time she said nope like she enjoyed that the trailer should only be one day rental on trailer that's all I asked for i shouldn't have been charged for 2 day let alone 3 days i had to pay $ 665.65 for 2 days on truck and one day on trailer it was way more than I was quoted on the phone I was very clear when I asked if there were any other hidden charges for anything at all I was told no but was charged more really not fair I can't afford all thatRichard B.

The self check in using a phone was difficult. Had I been prepared in knowing that I had to list two secondary Id's (passport, phone numbers etc) it would have made it a bit easier. But it wasted so much time as I didn't have the right info on me. And didn't realize someone was calling contacts- as the ones I listed weren't home. Luckily the lady at the shop was working and was able to assist us. We spent over 30 mins waiting to just get the U-Haul. Thumbs down for that as we were in a rush. I was also told when I booked this truck that we could pick it up at 8 am. And then was told the day before not until 9 am. Only an hour but it made a big impact on our day- tied up with the wait to even get the truck once we got on scene at 9 am. Overall take away the self check in with a phone. It's awful. You can lower the price of a one way trip I was charged 971.00 to take the truck 393km I truly do t like your rates because they are way to high and the trucks are gatbage gas guzzlers their clean trucks but they're really garbage on gas mileage and there is absolutely no way to keep it in the greenChris C.

At first I had much difficulty. I reserved a truck online and showed up to my pick up location half an hour early, only for me to check into the app and then I selected "pick up truck" and it would not let me use my visa debit card when all over the website it tells me I can. Despite all of this, the woman at Blackfoot baits was very helpful and all around a cool chick. She kept me calm as I was feeling very nervous because I was supposed to be moving that weekend and wasnt sure if I had many other options. She squeezed me in what she could when she would and held a few reservations for me. Honestly I feel she went above and beyond to help me get me in a truck and get my stuff on the move. In the time we're in right now with c-19 the truck was not as clean as I would have expected. It was tidy inside but you could see that cab could have had more detail paid to it. It was really annoying going to the bait shop to start the checkin process, then drive over to the lot to co firm my truck was there, only to drive back to the bait shop to grab the keys, and finally head back to the lot to grab the truck.Richard T.
