The location was locked out of their office when I arrived, My code to get in the lockbox would not work. Location employee couldn't get it open, then the regional manager showed up, he couldn't get it open and worked with it for 15-20 minutes before finally opening it. Caused me to be 1 hour late to a project that I had 6 employees on the clock waiting. Then they quoted me $.69 cents a mile and charged me $ .99 The staff and 1-800 staff were VERY nice. just cost me a lot more money than had anticipated.Bruce B.
Let someone know upfront that no one will be at the location where you pickup and go ahead and send the lock box code so you can get the keys. Also I had to go thru 3 people on the phone before I was actually helped.Michael B.

I was told the location was 14 miles from my home when it was actually 23 miles. I was expecting maybe 30 miles and wound up paying for 46 miles. I cost me about $14 more in mileage which doesn't sound like much but on a single set income it makes a big difference. Other than that it was good.Kathy M.
Unit was not checked when turned in. Basically I dropped it off, did all the disconnects. Showed my paperwork for a photo, and left. Maybe that's the way it's supposed to work. Guess I'll never know.Larry H.

I received a text message at 5:46 in the morning the day before I was supposed to return the truck. This text stated that I had been assigned a different drop off location that was 40 miles away from the location where I had picked up the truck. It took several telephone calls and many Conversations to get the drop off location changed back to where my car was parked. I do not know why this change was made without my consent or why it was so difficult to have my drop off location returned to the original place where I had picked the truck up. This unscheduled change to a location 40 miles from Where my car was parked could have been a total disaster since I had no means of transportation home. It took several calls and an approval by a supervisor to correct this situation. I think it is totally inappropriate that U-Haul dictated this change and was so hesitant to accommodate me. Overalls that entire experience and the fact that I had to make so many calls to customer service and was treated so rudely by One of your customer service representatives was stressful and Uncalled for. The Boaz location was very helpful and accommodating but I cannot say that about the rest of this experience.Dianne J.
I reserved a truck and the office wasn't open yet, I used my phone to do all the paper work. I was afraid I'd mess up on something, BUT it went very smooth with my cell phone. They have improved the system of renting to very easy.EvaJoy I.

First time to ever rent a uhaul! Very well worth the money.AMANDA B.
The original reservation was at Chase Park. We were upgraded to a 26 foot without being contacted because they had given our reserved 20 foot to someone else. Due to our inexperience in big trucks we were very nervous about driving and did not use the truck. Customer service was poor at best. We continued our search to Moore's Mill. The representatives there were extremely helpful and very compassionate. They went beyond excellent service and tried to make our first experience with U-Haul bearable. The move was already awful due to job loss. Moore's Mill service representative should receive full credit for making our day bearable. I applaud them. My recommendation would be to contact customers when contract has been changed, regardless of upgrade, or change.MATT H.

We had to pick the key up on Saturday since they were closed today. We didn't pick up the vehicle until this morning. It was returned today by 4. We were charged another $60. so we spent close to $200 and didn't have the vehicle a full day. I will not be using this service again.BRANDY R.

Personnel at this location acted is if it was inconvenient that we dropped off the trailer there. Said, drop it and leave it. They DID NOT LOG IT IN UNTIL THREE DAYS AFTER THE DROP OFF AND DIDN'T LOOK INSIDE FOR THE BLANKETS. My husband was on the phone with UHaul three times before they actually acknowledged they had it. This location is terrible.kathy N.

I booked the truck for pickup at Cotton State because I have always delt with them.. They are clean, wonderful to work with , and dependable. HOWEVER, upon arrival to pickup the truck, was informed that we were at the WRONG location for the truck, having to relocate all my employees to the new location. This not only was incovenient, since I had no prior knowledge of a change in pickup, but I had 5 employees sitting around on my clock costing me almost $250. this is not acceptable and I will have to think long and hard before ever referring Uhaul again. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH COTTON STATE OR ITS EMPLOYEES. This is strictly about UHAUL!... On a scale of 1-10(GOOD)... UHAUL -negative 5Bruce B.
Caleb had no clue what he was doing as far as taking our payment went. He had no idea we even had an order. I believe he is poorly trained. We were for an hour waiting to make our payment. Once i got to this Pick up location it was great. Rented truck in Albertville Al. Got bumped to Gadsden Al.to pick upTruck, i could not get to Gadsden Al. After 2 hours on the phone, got this truck in Boaz Al. And had to pay someone to take me there. The truck. Bounced bad and the AC only worked half the time. Terry went above and beyond the call of duty and made sure my moving experience wasn't quiet as painful as moving can be. I would most definately use Terry again if the time ever came.JASON C.
I returned this truck with blankets folded, truck swept out and gas filled up and was still charged a $25 fee. I think that was extremely unfair considering I had needed a truck in new Albany and had to drive all the way out of my wY to sellersburg to pick up truck to begin with which used more milage! So I won't recommend. Hire a mover!STACY P.
