Hmm, the small area I checked in was run down inside the house and sketchy. Your company should really look at the locations before approving. She charged me an extra $50 for using my credit card but when I asked her about the fees, she credited back my credit card as the quote I received online was lower than what I actually paid.

i had to brush two feet of packed snow off of the uhaul! bc charlene was too incompetent! I had spoken to her for 2 weeks about this rental and when i got there I HAD TO CLEAN SNOW OFF THE UHAUL !!?? being uhaul is out of town i had to drive into town TO FUEL THE TRUCK BC IT WAS NOT FULL OF FUEL... remember this place is out of town so i had to drive to town to fuel !! Uhaul is the worst company ever !!! And Charlene is an idiot

upon pickup, one tire was low, and no valve cap, topped up, and two days later, it was low again. I called U-Haul, and they sent a tow truck out, with a new tire, and wheel, installed the new unit, and I was on my way, all good!

What an incredible customer service experience I had with Charlene! After encountering frustrating issues with my reservation coming from Ontario due to the U-Haul network being down, I was anxious about dropping off my rental and expected even more hassle. But Charlene completely turned my day around. She was patient, thorough, and handled my situation with a calm and confident attitude that immediately put me at ease. My issue was resolved quickly, effortlessly, and with genuine kindness. Charlene truly made what could have been a stressful experience into an absolute pleasure. This girl deserves a raise—she’s the gold standard of customer service!

Nothing, to improve upon location wise. The exterior of the U-Haul was dirty upon pickup, which I later got charged a cleaning fee for (contact me for a video at time of pick up if desired).

The road needed gravel, it was quite muddy. It took forever to get ahold of anyone to drop it off. This wasn’t all this location’s fault, the phone number on my contract was for a higher up U-Haul office and it didn’t even look after the region that I was in. I was on the phone for over twenty minutes trying to get things figured out. Not to happy with the situation!!!!

The yard needs attention, example grading, gravel. It is difficult to maneuver in the yard due to ruts, holes & standing water. The staff is very friendly & helpful.

Our running lights on the trailer did not work and we got stopped by police half way home. They tried everything to help us. We ended up leaving our 4 way flashers on all the way home. We had three small children in the car and were delayed by many hours. We did not get home til 3 am. I expect that I should hear from you in the near future.

My booking was for a 10 foot truck, instead I was asked to drive over 150 km for it and I still had to drive away with a 15 foot. I had no competition for the extra kilometres. Very poor service this time around.

Honestly nothing. I needed a large truck on short notice just before a long weekend for a move. I wasn't able to get storage for a few days. Was able to book the truck for the entire long weekend until storage was available. Agent was extremely helpful. I have already tentatively booked to complete the move when needed. I found the daily and milage costs to be quite reasonable and the truck was a joy to drive. Thanks again.

Would be nice to see a refund or discount for early returns. I rented and paid for a trailer for two days rental. Rented Friday at noon and trailer needed to be back by Sunday at 9:00 am which I was made aware of and that was fine. I returned it at 6:00pm Saturday (15 hours early). No complaints but it would be nice to see refunds on early returns as I’m sure payment would be expected for late returns as well. Al in all, equipment was in good conditional and staff was friendly and very helpful. Would rent again for sure and likely will in the future.

Because of the rain it was a muddy place to collect the UHaul. Thankfully my husband is a Class 1 driver who has confidence in his ability to navigate those situations. Had it been me to pick up and get the UHaul, I would have been filled with anxiety. The lady who runs the office is very kind and pleasant and did call to follow up with us prior to pick up due to the last minute change of pick up location due to the other Lloyd location not having the truck available.

It seems that a month after the rental i was billed over $300 which was not authorized by me nor did i recieve a bill till after the money was taken from my account and am going to file a fruad statement to the bank on this charge and i will never recommend Uhaul to anybody because of this fact

The U-haul phone App needs to be improved as it is horrible. I tried using it for 2 days straight and every time I tried logging in I received an "an error has occurred" message and could not log in. I had to use the website to try and log in and that was cumbersome to use for a checkout. THANKFULLY THE OPERATOR OF THIS LOCATION CAME OUT TO HELP OUTSIDE OF REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS TO HELP WITH THE CHECKOUT AND THAT WAS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED. KUDOS TO HER! Also the vehicle had almost no motor oil showing in the dipstick so I added 2 liters to ensure there was some in the engine. Hopefully I can be reimbursed for that expense.

The Uhaul rep at this location went above and beyond to help me get my Uhaul and was extremely helpful. How ever, I made this reservation months in advance for my 2000km journey one way. U-Haul called me at 4pm the day before and said if I wanted what I had requested I would have to drive 6hours road trip on my own dime or I would have to wait weeks to get what they had months to line up in my city. 100% unacceptable. They provided 0 compensation or help. I have heard this story before and will be sharing mine now. I will not ever be using this company again.

The main office in Edmonton or wherever should let the individual groups do their job. The emails sent from them were confusing and didn’t help. The personal contact people were excellent.

Storage units are good but the yard / driving paths to storage units are in terrible shape. Roadways need gravel dumped in low spots and a grading. My classic car bottomed out twice driving out of the facility. I knew at that moment I wouldn’t be back to that yard with it. Will store somewhere else this winter.

We used Border City Self Storage for almost 2 years with absolutely no issues. Our contents were safe. Secure. Never disturbed or damaged by the elements or other people. The staff are friendly and helpful at all times. The facility looks a bit intimidating at first glance however the very first time you learn how to use the space you realize it is quite simple and user friendly. Five Stars. Affordable Locally Owned. Owners onsite.
