Take time to explain charges to customer. Website issues while in office trying to complete transaction as well as when trying to return vehicle. This location was great in that they cleaned up a horrible mess made by Annette's Family Store of Chester, VA The original equipment reserved was stolen and I was not notified by Arnettes family store or by U-Haul. Not knowing that the equipment had been stolen, my family and I traveled over 40 minutes to pick up the equipment. Highly unprofessional!! We were then sent us back to Richmond beyond our home to pick up This equipment. I was even promised a 50.00 discount that did not happen. A long time customer now very disappointed and U haul couldn't care less!!!!Angela F.

The pick-up your vehicle with your phone experience was horrible and did not work, the onsite employee had to do in manually. She was great about it! The call two different people to verify identity is frankly absurd, and will probably stop me from using U-Haul again.Hannah B.

The online check in was a NIGHTMARE. I was told I couldn't be verified and would have to check in with a representative even though the location was closed. I was stranded there and my phone was about to die. Really really bad situation. Luckily the worker at the storage place came in early and she was able to fix the major registration mistakes made that wasn't allowing me to check in. The cab of the truck smelled like vomit. The truck ran fine and appeared clean, but had a strong vomit odor. After spraying with Febreeze, it became tolerable. Everyone that sat in the cab commented.G Scott P.

Unfortunately, of the 5 times I have moved homes, this experience was the worst. I have already explained what happen to approx 7 different U-Haul employees, so the thought of typing it all out again on my phone seems exhausting. In short, I was â€œguaranteedâ€ a 26' box truck for a certain date/time. I showed up at that date/time and there was no truck for me. I have a wide and 3 kids, one being a newborn, I was supposed to move to a new home 2 hours away, I had people lined up on both ends to help me pack and unpack, and I had to be out of the house that day. All that, and then to arrive and be told my â€œguaranteedâ€ truck was no where to be found was extremely disappointing. The move ending up costing me double what I had originally budgeted (and was â€œguaranteedâ€). The U-Haul model is very flawed, considering the availability of the truck I have booked is 100% dependent on whether or not the previous customer returns it where/when they are supposed to. For a major life event like moving that requires so much planning and money, to be reliant on a business model that leans so heavy on the honor system is very unfortunate.David C.

I needed some help as the mobile pick up was having issues and had to wait 3 minutes for the lady to get off a call and then she seemed ticked that I needed help. I opened the truck, the appliance dolly I ordered was not there and she wasn't happy about that either. Also not real happy that I needed to leave my car there for an hour and a half. No place to park your vehicle here, would have been nice to know. Also, she wasn't wearing a mask. I have done this before at another location with no problems.
