UHaul truly disappointed me; as I am a repeat customer since 2019, and was totally and utterly appalled at the 3 sites I was shuffled between to obtain my RESERVED and CONFIRMED CARGO VAN. Granted I was utilizing bus transportation, to which I kept uHaul abreast of my arrival times which initially were 1130 am. The original confirmed and reserved Cargo Van for 1130 am ended up being picked up at 600 pm. A span of 6 and 1/2 HOURS. At this pick up location; 2929 Washington Boulevard Carroll Park MD. My move ended at 210 am due to the discretionary nature allowed at a UHaul Store vs a Pick up Only. Staff at ALL Locations was rude, disrespectful and downright ugly. In that I was shuffled between 3 locations, using mass transit I made each reservation and confirmation. The policies at each location were unbelievably ridiculous. I was told at the final locations 605 pm by Terrell that it was up to the GENERAL MANAGER to set policies. I asked if the GM was available. Terrell responded "Naw, he ain't work weekends". I now was told by the next Staff Person at 2929 Washington Blvd that there were additional policies that applied to Cargo Vans, remember im still trying to just get the Cargo Van. This Staff person was belligerent and condescending and an obvious racist. No one at the 2929 Washington Blvd Carroll Park MD location wore ID badge, extended any greeting, asked if I required any other assistance or said goodbye thank you. I was told very curly that "We close in 55 minutes Lady". You either upgrade to a larger truck incurring additional charges not within my budget to move, not even close to my budget. I was at the hands of a nasty agent representing uHaul. I am 72 years old, handicapped, had 2 movers which I agreed to pay them each $125.00. In summary, uHaul did not even come near customer service, baited and switched my Reserved Cobdurmation and did upgrade not by price but to a bigger truck which, praise the Lord was available and ready to go. Six and one half hours to JUST pick up the Cargo Van is unacceptable. No one, possessed any customer service skills. Racism was overridingly apparent. I stood listening to several transactions and other customers in store(s) and could not believe the arrogant, and sarcastic nature of uHaul representatives. Shame on uHaul just pure ugly employees, ugly dirty pick up at all 3 locations. I should be considered to be compensated, however upon returning the 10' Box truck I was hit by an 80 year old gentleman turning left onto Baltimore National Pike and he totaled his car as he also damaged the front end of the 1 p' Box Truck and had one flat passenger rear tire, a passenger side mirror was also damaged. Now the older gentleman gets out of his vehicle comes up to the driver side bleeding from a cut on his left wrist that was immediately attended to by me giving him tissue to put pressure on the site he had sustained what he called "assurance cut". I called 911 for an ambulance for him to find out from him "I dont need a medic. I am fine". I photographed all 4 corners and front and back of the uHaul 10' Box truck. Five Baltimore County Police arrived, in addition to the Ambo, as is Standard Procedure after #13 Fire Truck arrived following the Medic. I never got to get the elder gentleman's information as the chaos of the accident itself was deferring me from obtaining. I called uHaul immediately to report the Accident only after the Agent I spoke with said to me loud & clear "You wasted your time talking to me". You need to talk to someone else. Really uHaul!! This is how you do business?

I dropped that truck off at approximately 4:57 PM when my drop off time was 5 PM on the receipt it has I dropped it off at 5:15 that is so not true and I have screenshot proof to prove it!

It was completely unprofessional, dirty , it had someone items in the truck when we got there the man at the gas station acts like he can’t comprehend and does warn you about a service fee. I don’t recommend this location at all

They took 45 minutes to find my reservation and then the experience was overall very confusing. Further, upon returning my uhaul, they didn’t know what to do and didn’t give me any direction on where to park or anything. Genuinely would not recommend this location.

Advertise your services properly. I showed up a half hour early because I thought I could do mobile pick up, then the app tells me to call the help line and they tell me that there is no mobile pick up option for this location. Why did you give me the option of it’s not actually true? I was just wasting time for a half hour. I would not recommend this to someone else because I wouldn’t want them to waste their time

I like the fact that the pick up location was near and convenient, and also fast to pick up. The truck takes take start like if it’s not starting, and make a rattle laud noise most of the time Anyway, I’m very disappointed the fact, I just checked my receipt, and found out I was charged $25 for cleaning fee.. no way. I returned it clean, I have a picture of it! Need that charge back to my card please

Customer service was unacceptable cashier was dishonest about the price and tried to get me to give him 100$ in cash to rent the truck at first before I told him that sounded like false information also he to me to bring the truck back with the same amount that I left in which was a quarter tank of gas . I returned the truck with more then a quarter of gas I took pictures of the gas and mileage before and after the return photos and the cashier to me the truck wasn’t at a quarter tank and as if my card will be charged extra but clearly the tank was beyond a quarter tank and I feel like the guy is a bad representation for your company… very disappointed with the service that was provided…

I experienced a small issue with a tire but it was eventually fixed and taken care of. He company and especially the manager DAVE was phenomenal about making things right and taking care of my after the problem with the tire. I cannot stress enough how delightful, personable and caring Dave was with my problem, experience and overall satisfaction. He took care of everything and is a huge reason, along with the company fixing what was wrong, why I will not only come back to U-Haul again but also recommend them. Thanks for everything from start to finish!

Messi assigned me the wrong size truck, did not explain correctly what level to return the gas tank to, and failed to include the dolly in my transaction. After transaction, he asked me for $7 cash for the dolly, I abided.

Your system tried to charge me for gas when I replaced thw gas back to the level it belonged. As well as a extra day..took almost 40 minutes to resolve...So annoying

This location was horrible! No need to reserve a spot! They will not have a truck available!!!!! No need to put gas in the vehicle bc there won’t be any gas in there when you get the vehicle from the lot!!!! This truck was completely a waste of $57 and the $20s for gas I had to put in the van in order to drive off!!! Never again will I use this service! Mike was horrible!

This is not a good location for getting equipment. Roads in the area are in bad shape and not great for pulling an empty trailer. Also, it is a gas station with only one employee so he had to complete my rental while dealing with the customers.

To be fair, I think this was their first uhaul transaction, and they were on the phone with a uhaul support person nearly the entire time, so I’m not sure which person was the bottleneck. However, it took almost an hour to get through the check in process and significantly delayed my moving timeframe. I’d specifically chosen an early pickup time to try and move while it was still cool outside, which was nixed because of the delay. I also requested insurance when I reserved the truck online. After I thought we’d finally finished the check in, the link I then received said I did NOT get any insurance. I then needed to go back in and clarify that I wanted whichever option I’d requested when I reserved. The attendant got the support person back in the phone to help make the update, they told me they just transitioned to a new system and he couldn’t find the place on his screen to make the change. I said I was already running late and had to get going, and he told me he’d just add a note to my contract about the insurance. Didn’t exactly boost my confidence that it was taken care of, but luckily I didn’t have any incidents. The truck was clean and ran great, even had a little extra gas than was noted so that was a nice touch. Also convenient that this location is a gas station so you can fill up if needed.
