I've already sent in a message when I dropped off the Uhaul but would like to reiterate that I disappointed for the following reasons: 1. I was charged extra for the insurance. 2. There was no dolly in the truck I received, though I paid for one. This was noted in the system after we called that morning about this. We did not go to another Uhaul location along the way as the person recommended because we didn't want to get charged extra miles. 3. I was charged over $8 for additional mileage when I took a direct route to go to my apartment and only went out of my way to stop for gas which I HAD TO GET BECAUSE THE TANK WAS EMPTY WHEN I PICKED THE TRUCK UP. I took it back to what the Uhaul site stated was the closest location when I booked (though there were 3 Uhauls within less than 2 miles). 4. I left the truck with 3/4 of a tank, and never received any sort of compensation on that end. To rectify these issues, I'd like to receive compensation for the following: 1. Extra insurance charge + additional miles ($16.20) - bank statement of charge below 2. Dolly charge ($10) - see attached for confirmation that I'd requested a dolly that was not in the truck. 3. Gas reimbursement for 5/8 of a tank of gas (returned the truck at 7/8 of a tank after receiving it at 1/4 of a tank) ; we paid roughly $45 for the 3/4 of the tank we filled, meaning that the cost per tank would be $60. $60 X 5/8 = $37.50. $16.20 + $10 + $37.50 = $63.70 I'd expect to be reimbursed. Someone reached out to me and said they'd â€œreleased the mileage charges from his end and someone should be reaching out to meâ€...nobody ever did. I didn't see the charges refunded but, as you could imagine, moving and changing jobs doesn't exactly allow for tons of extra time to be waiting around staring at one's virtual bank account like a person waiting to get a text from that special someone they just met. I was disappointed that this happened in the first place - not only get overcharged but also spending extra hours of my life because I was left dolly-less - but FREAKING TICKED when nobody had the decency to email or call stating that they've rectified this issue. Do you get paid extra by hitting delete to such emails? Do these emails get sent to monkeys as some sort of lab experiment to see if monkeys can master the art of scamming people? Do you know who really killed Tupac? (The last one is just genuine curiosity.) Regardless of the answer to any of the aforementioned questions, I'd really appreciate someone responding to me on the actual question I have - will I, or did I ever get refunded for the fraudulent charges previously mentioned?Kelly C.

The return date was marked incorrectly as two days later than I returned the truck, and I was charged a $40 late return fee. The truck was returned within 6 hours of picking it up! The attendant at the return location was rude and provided zero receipt of return. Clearly the return was handled incorrectly.Zachary V.
As I was walking up to drop off my vehicle, the employee locked the office and walked away. I put the key in the drop box 1 day (February 4th) ahead of my drop off date. My drop off was not acknowledged in the computer system until the next day. (And that the vehicle was dropped off on 2/5; not on 2/4 when I returned it.)Paige Alison B.

I did pick up the cargo van 3/4 full but when I returned mistakly I filled up mean I return it full the guy told me no refund. This is not fare if I return less you charge me why don't you refund should be balance. Other than everything was OK. Thank yougatu T.

We first were confirmed to pick-up in Alexandria by text. We got there at the time we were told to and the location was closed. No one was there and we had no instructions of what to do. We had to call Uhaul and tell them the location they sent us to was closed. Then they made us drive another 20-minutes to a different location that was also closed. We called again and they sent us a text to do a pick-up without an agent there to help us. The process would not let us enter the correct mileage on the odometer so I had to take a picture to make sure I wasn't charged extra.Carrie C.
The vehicle that I reserved was not available when I arrived at my appointment time. I contacted customer service to make them aware and so I could receive the $50 refund because the guaranteed vehicle was not available. The only thing I can suggest is that I wanted a receipt right away. I was told that the return was submitted and I had to wait for it to be emailed to me. I would have preferred to have my final charge done right then and known exactly what the charge was and had my receipt before leaving.Heather K.

This location is not good if you have a large truck or a towing a vehicle transport. Hard to get into. They were closed by the time I got there so I just guessed on where I was supposed to leave the truck and trailer. No signs posted or anything. I tried the online return option but the website crashed every time I tried to upload a picture so I had to call the 1-800 number. What should have taken 15 minutes turned into over an hour return. The rep on the phone made no attempt to make things right other than checking me in over the phone and I still had to pay a late return fee of 100 dollars. I will never use U-haul again.Ryan P.
I was surprised to have learned my pick up location was nowhere near my house. Which caused an unnecessary inconvenience to my move, already surrounded by stress. I attempted to call U-haul to address the problem and waited on hold endlessly. Once someone answered the phone the representative transferred me to a number with an old greeting which advised the department would be closed for Christmas and concluded by hanging up on me. I then called U-Haul back and was put on hold again. I finally gave up and the clerk at the pick location did his best to the remedy the situation. It was very unpleasant experience.Patrick A.

Nobody was there to help out or hand me a contract and after I did the self pick up I realized the car was under a quarter of a tank full and even though I had to go through the trouble of filling it up they still charged me with a fill up fee. The U-Haul representative was extremely helpful and patient. However, the U-Haul system was not working properly and it took me over an hour to check in. This is after both the time and location to pick up the van was changed at the last minute. I didn't get a drop off location near me when I signed in and when I tried to change my drop off location, none of the U-Haul customer service people helped me at all.Patricia M.

The original location did not have a truck set-up for self pickup, which meant we had to spend time talking to customer service and then travel to another site, very out of our way. This wasted a lot of planned moving time and put us behind schedule. Very disappointed in this service.Zachary B.

As a big part of the deal is connecting to the internet to take and drop the vehicle; it is a big need to have a WiFi connection available, for customers to be able to do the process smoothly. The area has bad cellular coverage, so it makes this need much bigger.Orlando F.
