There was nowhere to park and the 75 year old lady working there was a mess and angry. She was not suited to handle receiving trucks. The parking lot only had room for four cars, which includes the trucks. Of which there were three at the time. Simply put, a hot mess.Mark P.

The mobile check in was lengthy. It should be done prior to arriving in the parking lot. Wireless services was sketchy at this location for T-mobile and I almost had to leave due to this poor service. If I had uploaded all the requirements prior to arriving this would have made the process a better experience. After mobile check in was completed everything was fine. I would do it again.MICHELLE W.

Per the attendant, the vehicle did not have any damage(scratches, dents, etc)& she informed me it wasn't necessary to view it before leaving that it was fine, but any marks or damage would be marked w/an "X" sticker. However, I ALWAYS take a look at a rental & take pictures before and after. The first thing I looked at was the front bumper which had a big scratch/little dents across the front of it. The driver's seat also had a tear in it (small but a tear), I went back in and showed her the pic of the front bumper, which she had no clue about or the small hole in the seat, but she said the vehicle just came in last week. If the vehicle came in last week, why had it not been looked over? She then handed ME a bunch of "X" stickers to go place on the bumper, which I did and took more pictures. The convenience of the location was great, however, the attendant needs to be more professional and proficient. She even questioned how many miles I needed the truck for and why I was going so far...again, very unprofessional in my opinion. And for the record, I had to p/u a king mattress and box springs from Wolf Furniture in Lancaster Pa. I was too far out of their delivery range. I would still recommend the location to a friend even though it was an ODD experience.Michaela F.

Mary at the front desk/ manager is an awful person and down right mean/ rude. She literally screamed at me outside for getting there earlier then they opened and not knowing where to park. I already tried to contact someone at Uhaul about my experience but no one has responded. She called me a sensitive, dumb snowflake. I'm not sure if she was using racial slurs or what she meant but that is no way to deal with a customer. I'm not a conflictive person, especially when the women is handicapped so I just took it and stayed quiet. I've just never dealt with a situation like that before in my life or a women screaming like that over something so simple. I was physically shaking while checking in. If this is the type of experience you want your business linked to fine but I still want to talk to someone from customer service because this is very unprofessional! If you look up the business, there are many reviews about Mary. I had no complaints about the truck or my movers (both rented from U-Haul) but your business with her is less then unprofessional and I will never work with your company again. I ordered from Strohl in Fogelsville but had to pick up at another location; I wish that Uhaul would have mentioned we could do a one way drop because there is a uhaul location near where we dropped off the furniture instead of driving it back to the original location. Think 1.39 a mile is a lot; cost me more for a local than a one way to Baltimore MDDEBRA B.

Aside from the convienience, which was very good, I would like to express a concern. I rent expressly from Uhaul. This time, I had rented a truck multi day with the intent that I would receive a milage discount. I see that this did not happen and was somewhat confused by the explaination. Very upset with the Macungie location off of Route 100, I reserved a U-Haul truck a week and a half before reservation and then contacted a day before pick up to verify that my truck will be ready and was told that could not promise that it would be ready ... contact uhaul corporate location and had to drive out of my way to go find another truck, that day or they would not have a truck for me the following day. Which is very frustrating , Because I had a truck reserved. I am making another move in six months cross country and most likely will not be using U-Haul to do so.and less they can do something to remedy this last minute frustration caused by U-Haul themselves..CHRISTIAN N.

Personnel complained about where we parked the truck. There was zero signs stating where the truck should be parked. We wanted to avoid blocking a storage unit in case anyone wanted to use it that Sunday. She also complained over the phone in a very rude and offhand manner.Gaile N.
There was no A/C working in the vehicle I was renting. When I moved I was burning up, literally. It was 90 outside...with windows down but stuck in stand-still traffic, I felt like I would pass out. Staff was fine. Pickup was fine. I think also changing computer system to permit atypical characters for emails would be useful. I tag all of my emails with +___. My email format is firstname.lastname+Uhaul@gmail.com and I set it up so that my emails are automatically tagged for the service. If I get junk email, I know who it is from. If I get tons of daily notifications, I can create a filter to easily limit that. But, your computer system didn't permit the plus sign, so couldn't do that.Vamsi B.

Absolutely the worse rental experience. Attendant extremely difficult and unprofessional. She charged me for $19.25 for gas for 30 miles of driving. I purchased 3 gallons = I returned tank at same level as rented. If fact it was at the 3/4 level the night I returned the truck. To be charged for 3.5 gallons means the truck would have used 6.5 gallons averaging only 4.6 miles per gallon. This was a brand new truck (500 miles) and according to internet this truck should get 8 MPG. That means at most I owe 3/4 of a gallon. To charge me $19.25 for less then a gallon is outrageous. I had a feeling this was going to happen and these funds are probably pocketed by the operator. Location hours are very limited. I am not complaining about rental charge because I did not make the return time. This is the first time I have rented from UHaul and always use Penske. By ripping me off for gas you have guaranteed I will not be using UHaul again even though you are located less then a mile from my home. I don't do business with nasty people who rip me off.Steven L.

I was supposed to pick a 15' truck at 1428 E Livingston street, Allentown at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday 12/19/2015 but was told to drive 9 miles further north to 832 Werley road to pick a 10' which had no ramp. I complied only because i had already driven over 80 miles and I needed the one-way truck to complete the move. it was a horrendous experience altogether! The representative at 832 Werley was professional, but the one in the earlier location was certainly not.KOLA A.

This was by far the best uhaul rental I have ever experienced; the check in-out was speedy, customer service was top notch, the staff polite and accommodating, and the location easily accessible. I have rented probably 10+ uhauls over the last 15 years, and I can honestly say this location, equipment, and personnel is the best I have experienced, and cannot think of a single way to improve.Elena B.

The woman who was working and taking care of our return of the vehicle, was extremely rude and disrespectful to me. She was a very unpleasant and unprofessional person to deal with. We are a military family, and have been dealing with moving over the last 20 years, and we have used U-Haul many times, and this was the absolute worst treatment we have ever encountered. She was also rude to my son. I would never recommend anyone deal with this particular place, and it may also change my mind about renting from U-Haul again. We will be moving one more time in about 18 months, and I will probably be looking somewhere else. We are a family of seven, and money is tight, so I will take my business elsewhere, because I will not support business for someone who treats customers that way. It's the customers that keep a business going. We were also thinking about storing some of out things, and this place was close to us, but we definitely will look elsewhere.DAYNE C.

They charged me a cleaning fee. For what????? I was under on my miles and I brought it back a day early. We had nothing in there to require cleaning...a couch and some boxes. There was not one speck of dirt in that truck and I can't get anyone to return my calls. Not a satisfied customer!! Having been a customer for about 40 years I expected his rental to be excellent as usual. The rental was made for the location n Whitehall close to the location I was needing the truck. The rental was changed to another location in Allentown 8.4 miles away and I was never sent an email to this change. I arrived at the location I had selected and was told there was no rental aval. I then had to back track 8.4 miles to get the truck at the new location then drive the 8.4 miles back to my location to load the truck to begin my move. The attendant at the second location was loud and rude. I will have to seriously consider this before I rent from UHaul again.STEVEN M.

Please do not change the pick up location without any notice. I made a reservation in Macungie for a reason, and I got a call the day before telling me I was to pick up in Allentown. The woman working there was also way less tolerable than in Macungie. The rest of the experience was fine.ABIGAIL W.

The woman was very negative, as soon as I went in she complained. I parked the truck next to the other truck, but when I went in she complained about not seeing the truck on the camera and then complained about having to move it to access the other truck then next day for someone else, then complained about having no access to the storage bin even though that's where the other trucks were parked, then complained about having to go outside to look at the gauges to document it. When it was time for the paperwork she would take deep breaths and get frustrated with the procedures. She did not smile once and I did not feel welcome. I felt it was my fault for returning the truck wish I took it to the Whitehall location, but I was told to take it there when I called. I felt I was very positive and did not say anything about her comments, I was trying to be positive to cheer and her up, so I said "whew I just made it under the mileage" with a smile and laughed, her comment was I would have been charged extra for that. I usually don't care about making comments but for her it was necessary.Rabindra S.

We asked her to look at the truck with us as there was damage and she refused, I would never recommend the storage facility and if you continue to use them I will not recommend uhaul. Furthermore with regard to movers on your website, I would never recommend, and Uhaul should remove them, GR8Labor. They promised me three guys and all one did was play with his phone. The boxes were not placed where I asked and the items for the basement some was taken down and most of it was left at the top of the stairs.
