This was my first time renting UHaul, I reserved my cargo van at a location closest to my apartment. After a day, i got a confirmation that it has been rescheduled to another location. On the day of reservation, i went to the location and it was not open. I had to call the store and finally the store person came after 10 mins. After waiting for 20mins i was told that they dont have a cargo van, so i was sent to another location 5 miles from there. I was finally able to get the van. But i had to roam around for about an hour before i can get the van. I had a very bad experience with my 1st Uhaul rent.Ajay Gautham M.

The address in NOT where you drop off the van this needs to be rectified as it caused a lot of problems. The actual drop off was on Hanover Avenue. The person who received the van said yes it does cause a probem therefore why can't it be fixed.JUNE S.

It delights me to highly praise both Ron Ravotti of West Wind Motors, Inc (Pittsburgh). and Sheila Morris, site manager, Budget Store & Lock (Allentown/Philadelphia). Such sincerity, care, courtesy and professionalism are quite striking in today's automated world. My cross-state move was (for me) tightly sandwiched with leaving for asia immediately after the move. Not only were rental pick-up and drop-off flawless and smooth, I have to tell you how they both so impressed me. At pick-up, Ron Ravotti showed and explained the 17-ft truck and car dolly, and added many helpful comments like, â€œThis is a nice riding truck to drive and tow.â€ I've never used either, so sharing his experience was welcomingly relaxing in the midst of moving a house. The strap ratchets to secure the car wheels to the dolly, while adequately operational, he felt should be better -- so he used his own mechanical supplies to improve them to what he had in mind. He kindly and expertly demonstrated attaching and detaching the car dolly to the truck, then loading and unloading procedures for the car, stressing safety and the Right Way the entire time. Excellent! (Natural teacher -- should be on YouTube!) After we attached the dolly, then loaded my car, he reviewed with me all important safety points, and then I was underway. The truck of this size was surprisingly easier than I had expected to drive. And, I have *never* towed anything before. Carefully and cautiously, loaded my contents, then turnpiked to destination. The last half hour of the drive was potentially dangerous weather. Severe wind gusts and very heavy thunderstorms had ambient freeway traffic down to 30-35mph, with several tractor-trailers pulled off to the berms. The fully loaded truck pulling my American sedan handled predictably with, thankfully, no surprises. At drop-off, which was also the storage location for my belongings, Sheila Morris was great: cheerful and warm, and always several steps ahead of what's next. After emptying the truck and while brooming the cabin and box, she checked out then signed off on the fuel level, etc., and told me everything is complete. I have to say, there is no possible way for my drop-off experience with her to be any simpler. Elegant! I know problems exist for any large company that deals with customer service. My move with U-Haul was reasonably priced, but this is totally eclipsed by the outstanding quality of these two human beings! I'm posting this to Yelp and telling all friends and family. Drop-off did not include any staff interaction so this section is N/A overall. However, I would have appreciated clearer instructions posted outside the facility as to the drop-off procedure, as the phone associate did not explain the procedure beforehand.Melissa F.
