Very disappointed with UHaul. I had a reservation and was supposed to pick my 6x12 enclosed trailer up in Chilliwack for a cross country move. The day before my move I was told I had to go to Boston Bar to get my trailer. A four hour round trip! When I picked up the trailer it was covered in mud, not a big deal, but I was told that I needed to contact UHaul to finish the rental process, and there was no paperwork required. Unfortunately, no cellphone service at the pick up site so I called UHaul the next day to finish the process. The customer service agent told me that there was paperwork that should have been done in Boston Bar. She said I needed to return the trailer to Boston Bar to have the paperwork completed, - another 4 hour round trip for something that was not my fault. I offered to go to a local UHaul agent to do the paperwork but I was not going back to Boston Bar as it would cut into my travel itinerary. She told me if I didn't take the trailer back to Boston Bar she would call the RCMP and report the trailer stolen. Think about that. I had a reservation, they had my credit card, my address, and I phoned them to finish the rental process and she is claiming I am a thief, and the trailer is stolen? I can only imagine the RCMP officer would have laughed their ass off at her. I thanked her for her "customer service" and just hung up. Fortunately her Regional manager Alvin called me. He was much more reasonable, apologized for the situation Boston Bar put me in, and then completed the rental for me online. I very much appreciated his intervention, but UHaul clearly has a customer service agent who should not be employed in that capacity.david H.

The gentleman at the Canyon Tire location was excellent. He went out of his way to make my business transaction smooth. The person on the call center end was atrocious. He should not have a job in public relations. Rude, ignorant and pompous are a few words I can use to describe this guy. I gave up speaking to him after he told me that there are other movers I could have gone to. Disgusting and the reason I will never recommend or use U-Haul ever again.Arnold M.

The place was not open, truck was out of fuel and someone had vandalized the fuel tank and had to temporarily fix so to be able to use the truck. Also the dolly was not supplied but was charged for. In the glove box was a bottle of beer. Not very happy that had to travel a hour each way to get this truck.Jim Z.

what a complete Nightmare , i had to travel 300 kms to pick up my truck that was also not clean inside and then drive another 160 Km back to my loading location I am HIGHLY DISSATISFIED WITH UHAUL AND MAKING ME GO TO BOSTON BAR THEN TO KAMLOOPS AND HAUL BACK TO MERRITT TO PACK AND MOVE TO SURREY NEVER AGAIN!!!Laura B.

Since this was the first time for me I just signed on the line without knowing there would be mileage charges after. My fault for being in a hurry hahaha. Maybe bigger letters on that part of the contract for dipshits like me. Anyway he gave me a call and ten minutes later I paid and he was happy. So was I. Hell, if I had known those trucks were so nice and low I wouldn't have pulled my guts out using my own high decked trucks all those years. The ramp is so nice.
