First of all, I had a reservation for 1:30 PM and the attendant wasn't even there - in fact, the door was locked and I could not even enter!
Then I had to use the washroom and I had to use a plumbing handle to flush!
The place, overall, was run down and even the storage lockers looked jury-rigged and cobbled together at the last minute!
Then, while I was in the washroom, the attendant - who *KNEW* I had a reservation and *KNEW* that I had been waiting for him to return for 15 minutes, took another customer, who as far as I knew, did NOT have a reservation!!
All in all, between these delays and the normal check-in procedure, I did not even depart with my truck until well after 2 PM, when my reservation was for 1:30.
It seems that I will have to book the next rental and arrive earlier, but that location is the closest to where I live, so I suppose that I'll have to tolerate the sorry state of the building and particularly the washroom. But I have dealt with other U-Haul locations in the past and state of this one is shocking!!

I made my reservation months in advance and I purchased the use of a dolly (the kind with a back to support multiple boxes), but when I got there there weren't any left for me to use. I was able to use one of those ones that just a square with a hole in the middle on some wheels, but it's really not the same piece of equipment and not ergonomic to use. The staff members were extremely nice and helpful the entire time and were apologetic, but maybe they could get a few more dollys on site so this doesn't happen again. The truck itself was good to drive. The ignition hole for the key was a little finicky (the outer ring was loose and it wasn't in the exact right spot the key wouldn't turn), and the lever to switch gears was also temperamental, but the truck was otherwise perfect.

The truck was clean and ready to go, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed that the additional items I had reserved—such as the dolly and coversheets—were not available when I arrived. The staff simply informed me that they were out of stock, despite my booking them in advance. These tools would have been very helpful during the move. Other than that, the overall experience was fine.

1) Self check-in during opening hours is not great. 2) Truck provided very dirty inside, lots of scratches outside. 3) Engine caution light was on the entire time. 4) I brought back the truck 20 minutes late, it was 16h08 and this location closes at 16h. I was charged for two full days instead of one. I called to see if anything could be done in the charge because i) I was slightly late due to traffic; ii) with the location closing at 16h, the truck could not have been rented out again; iii) I brought back the truck with 1/2 tank while it was at 3/8 when I took it. I was told nothing could be done on my bill because no-one was there to see when I brought the truck back and I did not do self checkout. I am not sure how I was supposed to know that, and also there must be cameras to see when I brought back the truck. I found the service to be very abismal and unflexible.

The new technology makes it easier for Uhaul agent to process the rentals compared to the past. However, the pre-inspection website didn't allow me to take photographs on my iPhone 15. This was the only disappointing aspect of my experience

The staff here were amazing. It was a really wonderful experience and I would recommend using again. All of the challenges from Uhaul truck rental (our trucks got rescheduled 3 times last minute and we had to change our move-in dates twice with the worst customer service I have ever seen) were somewhat made up for by how accommodating this non-uhaul storage facility was. I would use the storage facility again and recommend highly. I will never use Uhaul again.
