The customer service representative was very late and rude, he didn’t want to help me out with my order, did not even want to look at my order confirmation number on my phone, he simply said that I did not have any reservation, and he couldn’t help me, he just referred me to contact the customer service hot line. I have never been treated so rude and disrespectful, this representative never wanted to have any eye contact with me, and again, I felt discriminated against my race. This matter should be resolved immediately, we all people.

Truck was not swept out. Grass and grit covered the floor. A quick sweep out was all that was needed. I assume truck was not visually inspected after last use.

Rental truck was not clean. Truck had 161,000+ miles on the odometer, steering and suspension are worn and ride quality was harsh.

It had smoke residue cigarettes butts all on the floor and I was giving U-Haul on e then when I returned it back on e I was charged 60 dollars for gas !

The sales associate and anyone I had to speak with during this overwhelming time was very kind knowledgeable and friendly and that definitely helps when you have to move. I want to be reimbursed for the insurance cost. It did not say online where I made the reservation that I had to get it. I clicked I did not want it. When I got there they made me get it. If I would have known before I would not have rented it.

The uhaul was extremely dirty with ashes everywhere and a heavy smoke smell in the cab. There was also a lot of trash left in the cab from previous renters. The cargo area was clean.

Originally went in the store and they told me they had no trucks. There was a truck sitting across the street. I left the store, went home, and called U-Haul to help me find a truck nearby for drop off at the same location. The lady I was talking to took forever, but eventually said we have a truck at Port Neches. I said I had just come from that store and they told me they didn’t have a truck. She reserved it. I asked if they didn’t have it when I went back, would I be able to get a refund? Unbelievably she said no. I went back to the store and they said we do have a truck. It was the same one that was sitting across the street when I first went there. She also told me that I reserved a one way U-Haul which was much more expensive, and remember the lady on the phone told me I couldn’t get a refund. I got it, and it was dirty on the inside of the cab. Lots could be improved on here…

This location charged nearly $ 600 in charged and wrecked my bank account which is not nearly $200 overdrawn from these unauthorized charges . They have wreck my life in so many way right now . I’m on social security and they’ve taken it all . They didn’t clean the truck a smoker used the truck and it stank and hey reported there gas amount incorrectly .

Make sure you have a backup available in case someone doesn't turn the U-Haul in on time. The person that had it before me was supposed to have it for two days she had it for 12 days so it got dropped off the same day I picked it up when I reserved it for 5 days ahead of time. The U-Haul was dirty as heck and the gas gauge was on E. I had to pray I made it to the gas station to put gas in it. Also, it sounded like the truck was ran into the ground by the way it was sounding while I was driving it. Never again!

More friendly…the truck smelled awful and the driver side window or door seal had a horrible loud leak. Passenger side mirror couldn’t be adjusted and required help from the passenger to change lanes or merge safely.

The after hours pick up and drop off through the app was very clunky and kept freezing. It completely crashed as I was attempting to photograph the cargo area to prove I left out clean. I had to contact my rental location to even be sure the check in process completed. During the pick up process the initial form was very buggy. It asked for my contact number and when I entered it the message was that the number was already in use. I put my wife’s number in and the same message came up. I ultimately had to give a number for some one that made absolutely no sense before it would allow me to continue. In general the rental was great but the app process was very buggy.

Rented a truck and car dolly. Truck was ok but the dolly needed a chain replaced. The office sent a young lady out to replace it with no tools. She went to the office for help and was sent out with a very small crescent wrench and even smaller set of pliers. She had no chance of doing the work. She tried and tried. I had to do it as best as possible with the inadequate tools and properly install it later. I’ve used U-Haul many times and have always had good experiences before.

Clean the inside of the truck. Food crumbs and trash on the floor. Drivers side door was sticky all over. Speak to customers when they have to interact. The seat lever was stuck, so I was unable to adjust the seat. I'm short and had trouble reaching the pedals.

Picking up the truck was easy. However I got in the truck and noticed the check engine light on as well as the tire pressure monitor system flashing. When I went back in to tell them they said nothing was wrong with it. I said ok and was only driving a short distance for the couple of days I had the truck. Then was told to make sure the gas tank was at the level I picked up the truck before I return it. Sunday I tried to go put gas in it and couldn’t get the gas cap off. Another person looked for me and said Ma’am the gas cap is broken off . At the end of the day I feel as though when renting a truck or any rental car the renter should do a walk through with the customer of the vehicle when renting it and returning it.

The front desk staff person was always friendly and helpful. But I did have several issues that could not and were not fully satisfied. I rented a regular unit then decided my important things probably needed to be in climate control area since it was all I had left of my home and life. At one point, I stopped by on a Sunday to get some critical paperwork for selling my home. There was a lock on my unit for non-payment - which turned out to be on there illegally (as I was paying through autopay). It was inconvenient because it was Sunday (the only day I could make it to the unit to retrieve the needed documents. The only day the office is not open at all on Sundays. So I had to have someone go through all my docs on Monday and it delayed business I needed to have done as well as inconvenienced others and allowed them to see any docs they might have wanted to. Lastly - I finally made it to the unit in September only to find mold growing on several things and my boxes collapsing on them selves. When I contacted the manager - he stated I must have moved into the unit on a rainy day (remember this is more money for climate control unit) I responded that it had not been raining. I had sent pics but He then wanted to see for himself. I could not make this happen as I could not return to let him in. Not everyone lives close to their storage or has the ability to go during office hours. This was my situation. When I did move my things out this last weekend - my wooden furnishings, cloth items and piano - ALL had mold. A box of papers which sat on the concrete floor - was completely saturated and molded on the bottom. This things inside it were ruined (and not replaceable). SO while I answered yes to all the pre-generated questions on this review - No I would not recommend this storage facility to a friend.

Upon moving out I notice a few items from the back wall that had contact with the floor had water damage. I know most likely due to our extreme crazy weather we had last year is likely the culprit.
